The first time I used this shampoo, I was impressed. I only had one small bump on my scalp, but I thought that might be something extraneous. You see, I have to be very careful not to use a shampoo with suflates because it causes my scalp to break out in painful pimples.
The second time I used the shampoo, I was shocked. I had at least a dozen pimples scattered over my scalp, and they made it painful to brush my hair. The next day, I washed my hair again - I normally wash my hair every other day. This was even worse. My scalp pimples were even more numerous.
Not being a chemist or a biologist, I can only assume that it's the SODIUM LAURYL SULFOACETATE DISODIUM LAURETH SULFOSUCCINATE listed on the ingredients. Perhaps they're close enough, chemically, to produce the same reaction as sulfates.
I've learned my lesson. I just hope my scalp heals as soon as possible. This isn't comfortable.
