It was nice to hear most of the old melodies the old one played. However, this one is nowhere near as nice as the old one. It is super lightweight and flimsy. My baby actually uses this as a walker and pushes it around the floor. The old one would have been too sturdy to do that with The "drums" don't work like they used to (they used to stay stuck down until you pushed another one). What used to be molded plastic froggy figures are now stickers. The "book" in the middle is a much thinner plastic. I don't understand why they switched the cello to a xylophone--the strings sounds were really nice.
In all, a big disappointment. The only nice thing is it now includes a Spanish option, which I'm not really sure we'll use. I'll be keeping an eye out at the thrift shops for the old one.
The only negative I would say is when your child begins to pull up they put their weight on the table and it easily moves across a surface unless it's held in place. Keep a close eye on your child when they're using the table at the stage because they can push it and fall. We have some skid tape that we put on the bottom of the table so the legs can't move so easily when my son pushes on the table.

1) Lots and lots of songs & music
2) The legs are removable so young babies can start playing with it on the ground
3) My 7 month old is able to do all the activities (turn the book page, press the buttons, pull the levers, open the little door, etc.) and he loves doing it!
4) Helps babies strengthen their leg muscles, keep their balance and teaches them to cruise around the table
1) Very light weight and will slide if my baby leans onto it too much which is very unsafe!
2) It will also tip over if he tries to pull up on it into standing. It would be great if he could also practice pulling up to standing with this toy.
I bought the new version, which is practically identical. This one offers English and Spanish mode. This one is also MUCH lighter than our old one. This would be my only gripe since my son is constantly pushing this table around on our carpet. I never had this issue with our old table but this newer version is so lightweight that my kid pushes it so easily. Kind of a bummer.
Other than that this thing engages my 12 month old perfectly. Definitely a must-have toy!
