I just received this today. Looks like a neat little gadget. Assuming it works properly, I'm already satisfied. It's quite small – the body is about the size of a Big lighter then the clip extends off from that. The picture on the sales page is pretty accurate. It doesn't appear to be super durable but it's built decently with a nice metallic black/grey finish (I like that it matches my car). I imagine it would survive alright clunking around in a bag but I wouldn't trust it to survive a faceplant onto concrete from about 6ft (tho, who does that?... If you do that, that's why you don't have nice things). I feel like the magnets might be stronger than the glue holding them in or the plastic clip itself and it might break unless removed with that in mind. Seems a bit sketch when I remove it from solid steel so make sure to turn tilt the magnets away from the metal first, instead of prying it upwards or straight out. If you find yourself missing a magnet, it probably got left behind on whatever you stuck it to. I would hope that they're is more support connecting the body and the clip than just a small bit of plastic (ex. an internal bit of metal) but I can't tell at the moment. It's not "in your face", so it's small enough to be somewhat discreet but if it's the only accessory on your person, chances are people will notice. I wouldn't recommend this for spy missions where you'd want to be low key but for a person who wants to record their outdoor activities without doling out a wack of coin for a GoPro, this should suffice... albeit, you get what you pay for and it might lack some of the better features that a good camera might have. This just turns on and does it's thing, there are no advanced menus/settings/features (ex. autofocus, face detection, etc.) That being said, I haven't gotten a chance to test out the quality of the video, audio or photos but I will take some time in the near future to check that out and I'll upload a few samples. I was about to order a 64gb sd card for this but as I was reading through the manual and it says that it actually supports up to 128gb, despite the seller page saying 64gb. I'm left unsure... it'll take me a minute to ready an empty 128gb to test it (followed by taking some sample shots for y'all).
To be continued...
Edit: I uploaded the very first video I took with the device - felt that would do it some proper justice. The video is 1280x720 - not sure if it set to best quality or not. As you can tell, the video and audio is pretty clear - you can see and hear what is happening. It's not movie quality but it's not bad at all for the price.
First of all, this camera DOES take good photos and video. But the switches to trigger them is terrible. The on/off switch is the same as the video switch. To turn the unit on or off, you must hold the switch down for more than 2 seconds. If your timing is off you get a video...usually of your shoes. I recently had 10 of those. All three switches are too small to activate with a finger or thumb, you must use your fingernail to properly and securely activate it. I just took two photos: not there even though the three indicator lights showed the photo was being taken. This is a useless device. Whoever puts on-off with another function is totally wrong. I design IOT things and would never do that.
this is the worse ever item and Amazon should mention the origin country where articles are sold from. I lost my money for nothing and I cannot get reimbursed????? It does not work and very little info about the function in the user Manuel. This is a crap; I would like to get my money back. If the origin country were mentioned on Amazon's web site I would not have bought it. Big, big mistake and misleading info.
Today I received this order. The product was received in brand new condition. It's an OK product, if someone doesn't want to spend a very high amount on go pros etc. they can go for it. Although I feel the price should be around 5k. Here is my observation. Camera: I have tested it in daylight. It's OK Ok type. Recording: Recording is smooth. No lagging. However, while walking it shakes a bit. Functions: Easy to understand as the seller has given guideline documents. I have uploaded a full review on my youtube channel with video. The video uploading in amazon takes a lot of time. Edit: the seller is super helpful. I really appreciate his help
i gave it some time before i left a review. Video 5***** sound 5***** Price 5***** Delivery 5*****. My ability to leave reviews , not so great but credit is due. I am a motorcyclist. i ve had my fair share of go pros and tried other sports cam and my question was always "Did i get it, Did I get" . Ive decided on a spy cam/body cam to record any unwanted inquiries from law enforcement. So far this little thing is a must have. It is very very easy to use. it has been the most reliable camera ive had thus far. one day i went to breakfast and without realizing it, i had recorded 2hrs of this gathering.ive also recorded 1hr of my commute on the motorcycle and i tell you, the video is damn clear and the mic picks up squeeky clean sound. i never leave home with out it. The clip may not seem tight enough but its long enough to serve its purpose. I alway hook it to the collar of my tshirts and polo shirt and have not lost it. Ive hooked it to my belt and its a perfect fit. for extra security i use a black rubber band or rubber 0-ring around the whole device. It even has a threaded slot if you want to mount it on a tripod or anything to that effect. For the price i paid and the quality recording, i might just consider replacing my sport cams for more of these. So if your in search for a reliable camera to record your affairs and spare your hands and phone from doing all the work, get this camera now!
Ran a few tests and here's my thoughts. User interface is pretty good, buttons work as they should.
My unit's factory setting was 1920 x 1080. For just a 5 minute video the file was 587 megs. Crazy huge!
Luckily by following the manual (pages 10-11) I was able to convert it to 1280 x 720. Then a 2 minute video was about 150 megs as apposed to the higher resolution which made the file 220 megs.
Please note the video takes a maximum of 5 minutes and then makes a new file. You will have to use a video editor to make a continuous video if you recorded 20 minutes or more.
That being said, the microphone is marginal at best. You really need to be close to the unit or talk extremely loud. The video lags for some reason. On playback tests, video frames would freeze for about 1-2 seconds while the audio would continue normally. Very strange indeed.
I was hoping this would be a great wearable hiking camcorder, however it would be manditory to turn on/off as needed since the file sizes are enormous. A continous recording would eat up 32 gigs before I had a water break.
Notes: did not try "audio only", "camera shots" or "motion detection" options.
I wish I could put zero stars this product look very nice unique with the way it’s billed but not with the way he performs a lax detailed instructions and the side buttons you do not know if you’re actually activating or Deactivating. The magnets on the back they immediately falls off the charging time is pretty long for a small device as such video time is only three hours as they say but honestly if you have 40 bucks wait save a couple more dollars and get you an actual good recording camera I mean other than the look there’s nothing great about this item
