Our kids play with these non-stop. We have two boys (4 and 1) and these give the 4 year old the building fun he craves while still being too big to go in the mouth of the 1 year old. The super ones are our favorites because you can make big castles and parking garages for matchbox cars. I love them because they encourage creative and unstructured play while teaching geometry. My 4 year old can easily identify isosceles triangles vs regular ones, pentagrams vs. hexagrams, etc.
My only warning to you as a parent is that these are addictive. I think we're up to like 2 sets of the big ones and 3 sets of the small ones now.
+ Super high play value
+ Not painful to step on
+ Easier to clean up than a lot of toys because they stick together. Just kind of kick 'em into a pile and they clump
+ Even small sets are not swallowable by infants (Note- I'm not talking about the accessories. They are. The core shapes are not.)
+ You will need multiple sets
Got 2 sets for grandson’s bd in March. I am aware it’s pricey for 2 sets but it gives more creativity.
Now granddaughter, age 3, is going to get a set for the holidays.
Because of the strong magnets they do clump together while building. May be frustrating for little ones unless supervised.
Otherwise these big ones “rock”.
