Hailing from Earth -22, this is one of three young boys who were infected by the absolutely nightmarish Batman Who Laughs to become his own band of twisted Robins. I mostly like this figure and I’m glad to finally have an entourage for my BWL, but there are a few things holding him back from being truly awesome. Mainly the entire lower torso. The material that McFarlane used for the shorts doesn’t have enough give to allow you to move the legs properly, and whenever you do try to move them, the legs just snap back into place. This is very disappointing for a character that you want to get into crazy running or jumping poses. And in the same vein as the legs, you aren’t able to straighten them out at all. The restricting shorts and crooked leg sculpt, combined with poor ankle rockers make this figure tricky to stand.

The range in the head and neck is also disappointing; I actually had to dremel out a small channel in the back of each of their necks in order to get them looking up as much as they do now.

But with all that said, I still enjoy this figure. The sculpt is unparalleled and he might actually be the best looking DC figure McFarlane has released to date. The ab crunch hidden underneath the rubber torso is very impressive; allowing you to get Robin into some creepy back breaking poses forward and backwards and side to side.

Though I wish the articulation overall was better implemented, that he came with all 3 heads in one package, and that he was a little smaller, I do recommend this figure. He’ll look great with your BWL and he’s fun to look at.

With this one McFarlane sure milked the fans, shortaged the product, and did a solid for Scalpers.

Design: Don' get me wrong, this is a gorgeous figure (in fact, this whole CTB wave is beyond amazing), but deciding to put 3 different heads at random is just a collectors nightmare. The figure itself looks terrifying, the colors pop and the detail they gave with the rubber vest and shorts is awesome; each of the 3 head expressions (for what I see online, I only have one) are beautifully sculpted and different enough to (kinda) justify purchasing 3 of them.

Articulation: This is where the release loses points (no pun intended). The articulation is beyond basic, to serve the slim design. Add the rigidness of the best and short, and you have a figure that can have no more than a couple of poses. It's a shame, because the characters in the comics are Spiderman level flexible, and you won't be able to achieve those poses.

Accessories: Besides the base and the collector card, it only brings a pretty decent looking chain, and of course: the Collect to Build part. Considering how small is the figure, it was a no brainer that Robin gets the torso piece, to construct an amazing figure as it is The Merciless.
