Complete waste of money

I bought this pump in addition to my Medela instyle so that I could have a pump I leave at work. I LOVE my instyle so I wanted to stay with the same brand but not splurge for a second instyle and felt confident with the large amount of rave reviews on this pump. ...I can not WAIT to throw this thing in the trash. It its not nearly as powerful as the instyle. I have to crank it all the way up every time and still have to work hard with hand manipulation to get anything worthwhile out. With all the same factors considered, i get about half the volume in a pumping session as I do with my instyle. This pump also has the most irritating vibration to it. With every pump it vibrates like a slow torturous tickle. Some days I just can not handle the feeling of this pump and get by with hand expression alone. To top everything off, after 5 months of weekday use, this pump has lost all suction. I've tried troubleshooting everything, replacing parts, membranes, valves, tubes... It just doesn't work anymore. Now I get to throw this torture device in the trash and purchase a second instyle like I should have done from the start. So much frustration and wasted money...

So the milk sometimes just randomly sucks out into the tube- I loved it when it worked tho it was super cute and small and convenient which actually makes me even more sad that I can’t have one! I tried twice- first broke, sent it back and got a replacement and that one also broke! I had to pay for boxes on both to ship back $5 ish each so I was out $10 for the inconvenience of believing in the product enough to take another chance on it. It just out of the blue stops working- so annoying and can be fatal to your supply if you don’t have another pump and you are exclusively pumping, I couldn’t breast feed and only pumped and if I didn’t have a back up I would have basically not been able to pump and then I would have lost my supply if it had happened in the night I would have had to rush out to Walmart and buy one just so to not let my supply go! That’s why you really need a pump to be reliable!

This worked for a few weeks and then completely died on us. We've tried everything from new batteries to the AC power options and nothing worked. Now it doesn't give us an option to return or even exchange for a working one. We are really disappointed. Willing to edit this review if there was a way to exchange or return this pump for s refund.

*We meant to write a review sooner but we have had many medical issues since our baby was born. This was one of the last things we thought we would have to worry about and to be honest didn't have to because the hospital loaned us a medical grade pump while we were admitted.

Serves its purpose, but a design flaw

Cons: Milks or vapors get into ducts very easily
Clean accessories according to instructions, doesn't work
Accessories are expensive to replace, but you have to
Used rechargeable batteries and only good for 2 pulps, regular batteries good for 8 pulps

Conclusion: Given me another chance I would still buy it because it is very small in size and very light weight. But the vapors(every time) and milk (sometimes) get into the ducts so easily that you will have to replace them frequently, called Medela for solutions they said I could just clean it. However the duct design is not like the regular ones that I use in my plug-in standing pulp, there is no way to clean it completely. Overall it serves its purpose nicely but do expect to spend quite a bit money on batteries and accessories in long run.
