After taking this out at the library over and over and over again, I finally bought the book and I'm so glad I did. The information is fantastic and I am seeing results using this approach to understand what works and doesn't work for my personal body chemistry. It is a worthwhile endeavor, even though the amount of work required is mind-blowingly time consuming. Following the meal plans caused my husband and I to quit the first time, and the second time around he was not willing to do it with me. In our case, following this plan means making multiple meals because neither my husband nor kids will eat most of the recommended foods. So this might just be our individual issue and not a systemic one for those attempting TMP. Regarding the book itself, I do think there is probably a way in later revisions to add simplified charts, a printable/downloadable calendar on the website with a month's view of what food/exercise is tested and the meals for each day, a weekly overview of what types of foods need to be ready on which days, a weekly shopping list, individual foods to be tested in Index, and more easy to find references so the reader doesn't have to do quite so much flipping around constantly.

TIP: Start on an odd calendar day (i.e., April 1), that way your odd days on the diet are the odd days on the calendar that first month. And print out a calendar and write on it ahead of time what food or exercise you will be testing and what your meals for that day will be. Trust me, this will be tremendously helpful.

So far the metabolism plan is working. The recipes are very different from what I’m used to eating so wondering how this will eventually translate. But I’m hoping it will! I’ve lost a little weight which has been impossible until now. So that was shocking. I will say you will feel pretty tired of broccoli, carrots, and zucchini by day 6; but it seems to get a little better. I hope. Attached I included a grocery list that I made. If you go by hers you will literally go to the store 4 times before you even start! I hope it’s legible on here to save others time and sanity. So far I’m not seeing the correlation between my temp and what I’m eating. I have low thyroid so that may be a factor. But the scale is dropping so that’s easy enough for me. I say give it a try, but prep 3-4 days in advance as much as you can.

Happy to have lost 7.8lbs in first 5 days (I'm using the vegetarian verson of The Metabolism Plan from website along with book)! I love the concept of being able to have a way to see how my body reacts to foods and exercise. Soups on the cleanse were rough, but I have cleared up months of "brain fog" and feel great! Not rated 5 because of lack of accurate shopping lists and poor organization/readability in latter half of book.
