I should have done a little more research, as I was meaning to use this for digital artwork, but it's incompatible with Photoshop, my preferred painting program. The PS interface is too small, and pressure sensitivity won't work in the program no matter what you do. I kind of shrugged it off. I could still do sketches with Fresh Paint, and I have a workstation for completing serious drawings.
So for the most part, I use my Surface for watching films. I was content with this. Brought it to work everyday for the night shift. Only just bought an AZERTY keyboard cover for it and it works great for getting my homework done.
Okay, so why am I giving the Surface 3 only two stars?
There is an insufferable glitch that sometimes prevents the tablet from charging while on, and other times won't charge while it's off either. "Plugged in, not charging," it says. I didn't experience this issue until maybe 4 months ago. I use the charger that came with the tablet. I thought maybe there was something wrong with my outlets. No, there isn't. It's definitely just the Surface. I've tried every troubleshooting option out there. I had success uninstalling the battery drivers once, but then my system updated and the problem returned. I tried uninstalling updates--you name it--the charging issue persists.
It's honestly so terrible that I might need to get a different tablet. Which pisses me off because, like I said earlier, I just bought a keyboard that only works with the Surface 3...
Edit: Went to an electronics store to buy an iPad Air. Told the guy helping me about my Surface 3, and he said we should check with their maintenance guys. Maintenance guys told us that Microsoft discontinued doing repairs on the Surface 3. RIP.
