To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
The guy who wrote this book was a teacher in Singapore and also wrote a book on financial planning for teachers. This book expands the net to all expats. He lists the issues with listening to/trusting financial advisers and provides a good rough guide to how to look at investing and planning for retirement. Of particular interest are chapters directed to people from specific countries (e.g. US, UK, AU, CA etc), which are useful at highlighting specific issues that apply to people from each country. All in all, a good read for those staring to think about financial planning for themselves.
