Keep Up With All of The Family Members All Year Long!

Although I have calendar apps on my phone, as well as one for the whole family, I use this calendar every year. It is kept in the kitchen on a wall where we can all see it at a glance. Sometimes, it's just good to go the old school way by having a wall calendar. One never knows when an electronic device will die! :-) The calendar is big and very colorful, and I like using some of the stickers, especially the birthday ones!

What I don't like about the 18-month calendar is that I don't ever get to use the entire calendar. I admit that it worked great when I was in the classroom because I had the school year at my disposal. However, it always seemed weird not changing the calendar on New Year's Day. I prefer a 12-month calendar that starts on January 1.

We were a family of 4, and I tried everything to organize each person's schedule in a readable form using a regular calendar with a single 1 1/2" X 1 1/4"block for each day. I even tried color coding. FORGET IT! And then many years ago I found the Mom's Family Wall Calendar. For each day of the month there were 5 (yes 5) blocks each measuring 3/4" by 1 1/2". The four of us each had a column and the extra column we used for Family Activities. When the kids left home, My husband and I got 2 blocks each and the middle box was our together schedule. I started giving them as gifts. Next I found the Mom Family Desk Calendar (book form) which was preferred by some folks on my gift list which is still growing. This fall I bought 5 Desk Calendars and 3 Family Calendars. My kids now have them in their homes for their families and their friends have gotten on my list, too. They are BIG and hang on the wall, but boy are they worth the space. The wall calendar comes with Aug-Dec of the current year and then Jan-Dec of the new year. I just cut the past months off - I only wish they would include Jan-Dec and add Jan-March for the following year. I've suggested it, but the company doesn't seem to be interested. Just be ready to start a Mom's Calendar gift list.

Love this calendar! Starting buying about 10 years ago when my daughter had all kinds of practices and events. I am now an empty nester but am so addicted to this calendar I buy one every year. Love the slot for each family member for each day. Love the size and ample space. Love that the new calendar covers August of current year through December of next year. Created a "mailing label" with each family member's name so I can just peel and stick each of our names (Aug-July since I know I will have a new one by end of July.) Love the pocket at the bottom for pens, stickers, invitations,.... Love the stickers and magnets that come with it. Love the illustrations. Cannot live without it! :-)

I get one of these every year and it is nice having a wall calendar with everything at a glance. Electronic calendars are nice, but this gives you a good high-level view of everyone in the family. I don't find it useful that the calendar starts in August and runs until December on the next year though, a 12-month calendar would be just fine for me. There are always 5 months that go unused whenever I switch from the old calendar to the new.

1st time purchasing this calendar. I like to use pencil in case anything needs to be erased and the material of the calendar doesn't allow it to be seen easily. I misread when it stated that there are refrigerator magnets that this isn't a magnetic calendar as we have always placed our 'MOM' calendars in the refrigerator for easing viewing. Hopefully I will be able to use the magnetic strip from our previous calendar on this one orfind a place on a wall to hang it.
