This has a fresh coat of paint on it and looks really good. What made me realize how great this game is, is how satisfying the gameplay is. Takedowns, equipment, turbo.. Also the police are fair and balanced. Just being a racer or a cop is so satisfying when you win and getting Gold medals are not hard but do take effort. Criterion did a great job with Need for Speed. I highly recommend getting this title. The only issue that I had was that I didn't realize that all the vehicles are old now lol, they go only up to the year 2007 so you are dealing with all older generation vehicles. There are no new cars put in. If you are ok with this then get the title, because this NFS is better than all recent generic NFS titles that have been coming out.
Helpful tip: It could just be my particular setup but when attempting to first play this game I received an error message from my TV stating that it was no longer receiving an input signal. Granted I have a newer TV(Sony Z8H) that supports 4K 120HZ so it could be a hardware issue. To rectify I had to modify the TV settings and turn the TV to standard mode for that particular input.
I did read somewhere else that the game is 4K 30hz so perhaps that is the problem. At any rate, it is certainly frustrating to have to modify the TV settings to just play this game.
Look no further, this is the best you can get. Drifting at 60mph down a sunny highway is childhood memories. Just like it was 360 and PS3.
You realistic car sim fans don't look further and go away, y'all are boring lol. This is not for you, this is for the upbeat fast paced high flying action fans.
Also, a treat if you have Xbox One X/Series X, or PS4 Pro/PS5, there is a 4k 30fps Resolution mode and a 1080p 60fps Performance mode. The performance mode is mind blowing. Buy the game, enjoy and have a good one.
It crashes all the time.
It just changed the game type at the middle of the game while I was playing with 3 other guys!
Also you choose to play, for example, Hot Pursuit > Super series and it will automatically changes the game type to like Interceptor or Most Wanted after several races, which is super annoying.
