False advertising

This kit does NOT come with pass-through RJ45 connectors despite this being advertised. The connectors are standard ends and are not pass-through. Normally I'd be more angry about this blatent false advertising, but I mostly purchased this for the crimper and tester, both of which work perfectly and as as advertised. Giving 4 stars as the kit is still great for getting started with phone and data cabling, but the listing should be corrected to not advertise as pass-through since the product does not deliver on that.

Not Pass-Through 8P8C connectors | Tester might be hit or miss

The tester didn't work correctly in the first kit that was delivered... the #7 light didn't work when I tested a known-good factory-made cat6 cable. I didn't even open the other things in the package. Returned that kit, bought a replacement. That 2nd tester worked fine BUT the connectors in the kit were NOT the pass-through "Easier Faster EZ RJ45 CAT6 8P8C" connectors advertised... which is the ENTIRE REASON I bought this kit over others offered on Amazon. Very disappointed.

EDIT: Product description has been updated and no longer states it comes with the "EZ" connectors. Review has been changed from 1 star to 3 based on this change.

4 stars because the crimping tool is not a pass through crimper. I did not expect this to be a pass through at this price so that is why I only took one star off. Otherwise everything works fine. The crimper is relatively low quality but works. Fair price for the kit if bought for occasional use. Will need to come up with a solution for trimming the ends after crimping. I purchased the Klein pass though crimper which works great. Will use this tool with my standard connectors.
