I Initially couldn't get it working. I fiddled for an hour trying to work out why it wasn't working for me. Tank was full and was showing 60bar, checked my lines for leaks, fiddled with the co2 intake at top or bottom, soaked it overnight but I couldn't get any c02 to diffuse into the water line. On a whim I fiddled with my co2 regulator pressure control (not the fine tuning knob on most regulators, but the main pressure control in my case controlled adjusted with an allen key). Before I adjusted my second gauge was reading 1bar (15psi) and in the green range on the gauge. I bumped it up to 1.5 bar and started to get co2 diffusing.
Also, if I was ordering again I would have gotten some co2 tubing. This extra pressure required meant some types of my airline tubing would leak or push themselves off.
It produces a nice fine mist but I was hoping for complete co2 dissolution and zero micro-bubbles in my tank, like some users have reported with this product. I will say when I first installed the product I did so about 8" away from my spray bar and got a lot of fine mist. When I moved it close to the filter (about 5" from the filter outlet connector) the mist had significantly decreased. I guess because the co2 has another 3' to travel before entering the tank, I'm getting better co2 dissolution.
Also, I was able to drop my co2 from 4-5 bubbles per second to about 2-3 after switching to this inline diffuser. When I tried it at 1-2 I had zero visible bubbles/mist in my tank but my drop checker showed is was slightly co2 deficient. Hope this helps.
