Our dwarf hamster (RIP Sagan), loved this coconut. It lasted a long time and she loved to use it as her hideout, especially in the warmer months. It was like her tropical vacation home :). Even though it's designed for birds, it would work well for any dwarf hamster, mouse, or gerbil, but it's probably too small for a full grown Syrian hamster or any other larger rodent.

I wouldn’t suggest anyone to get these, these are deadly ! This is also not safe for birds who have eggs. My bird was caring for 3 baby budgies . Turns out this morning I found 2 of them dead due to not enough space... my other budgie has one but got sick due to the coconut... my vet told me to take it away from them because it’s causing them to become sick ! The mother bird who had one - I just took it out of her cage and put a shoebox and made a nesting area for the mother - thank goodness she liking it and caring for her only budgie baby that’s left.

Please don’t get these for your birds if so get a box or nesting box for your baby budgie ... NO COCONUT please !!

Very sturdy; holds up well. My two rats love climbing on it and sleeping in the coconut. Also great for chewing on! The size of the coconut is a bit small, but since my girls are young they both fit in it perfectly. Overall, great product and I'm sure it will last a while.

We bought 2 coconuts for our 4 Lovebirds. At first they were a little suspicious about it, but now is just too cute to see them all snugled inside of the coconuts. I love the fact that is made of natural materials and hand made, (I believe.). If I could give 10 stars, I would!
One comment that might be helpful in case other birds are as naughty as ours. Our birds love undoing knots, and they have been pretty successful at this task. After undoing the ladder knots they will move on to pull the logs off the rope and scatter them around. Not sure if this is a natural behavior of these kind of birds or just mine. It might be a good idea to reinforce the ropes supporting the bridge and try to avoid this problem I am having. Nothing that turned out satisfaction low. We just keep fixing it and still love the coconuts.
