I tried using this for high amperage fans but this did not work. Comes with alot of accessories etc. but only suitable to "standard" pc fans

Das Problem damit ist, dass man den Regler nicht nach belieben einstellen kann, ohne den PC-Case aufschreiben zu müssen oder ohne irgendeine Halterung Marke Eigenbau zu fertigen (sieht man ja auch auf Fotos der anderen Kunden hier oder in diversen Foren). Als Lösung hätte Noctua z.B. ein Slotblech/Slotplastik liefern können, wo das Gerät sich einrasten ließ und so die Steuerung von Außen erlaubte.
Wieso Ich hier einen weiteren Punkt abziehe, ist haufenweise Schaumstoff in der Verpackung. War das wirklich nötig??
The Premium feel and so on. I get it. Mir wäre aber eine umweltbewusste Gestaltung der Verpackung lieber gewesen. Ich habe dazu noch 4x NF-A12x25 gekauft und da sieht's mit der Verpackung ähnlich aus...

Ci siamo affidati al brand conosciuto, nella speranza di non ricevere la solita cineseria. Purtroppo, nonostante il prezzo di circa 20 euro, non fa esattamente quello che promette.

Testato con diverse ventole di più produttori, in tutti i casi le ventole non si fermano quando la manopola è al minimo e la funzione "non-stop" è disattivata. In quella configurazione, anche se molto lentamente, le ventole continuano a girare.

Da specifiche Noctua, con la manopola al minimo, si dovrebbero avere 0 RPM, ovvero nessuna rotazione. Non viene spiegato però che a "0 PWM" (AKA "0%") non corrispondono "0 RPM" sulla ventola.
Inoltre il comportamento del modulo non ha una logica. Infatti, alcune ventole che a 0 PWM, controllate via matherboard, si fermano, non si fermano invece a 0 PWM quando sono controllate via NA-FC1.

Per risolvere il problema sarebbe bastato aggiungere un secondo pulsante per tagliare direttamente l'alimentazione alle ventole. Troppa tecnologia aggiunhere un secondo switch?

Inoltre, con la manopola al minimo e con il tasto "non-stop" azionato le ventole ACCELERANO fino a raggiungere la velocità minima prevista dal produttore delle ventole (ad esempio 300 rpm), ovvero quella sostenuta dalla ventola a 0%.
Quindi, per quale ragione quando la manopola è a "0 PWM" (AKA "0%") e la funzione "non-stop" è spenta le ventole non vanno direttamente al minimo previsto dal produttore della ventola, ma vanno più lente!?
Anche su un oggetto così semplice si riesce ad ottenere il risultato complicato.

Consigliabile l'acquisto solo in presenza di ventole certificate 0 RPM a 0 PWM (0%).

Credevo di acquistare il top di gamma per le mie ventole che devono girare 24h al giorno, anche a pc spento e a velocità costante. Parliamo di un accessorio molto costoso per quello che è, avrei preferito una forma diversa e in particolare un modo che permettesse di fissarlo con delle viti. Non mi piace per niente il fatto che il blocco della ventilazione minima, tanto pubblicizzato, si disattivi ogni vota che va via la corrente, a questo punto avrei preferito un classico interruttore stile "acceso o spento", inoltre mi è capitato per 2 volte che questa modalità si disattivi da sola. Non sono pienamente soddisfatta per quello che costa. Ottima la dotazione di accessori.

Bought this because I was hoping it would control my Noctua NF-A20 5V (USB) fan. But unfortunately, probably because its a 3-pin and not a 4-pin PWM, it doesnt control the speed at all. It acts as if its just on/off as before which I was hoping it would "fix". So because of this I have to give it a lower score.

However I tried it for 2 other fans I have (2x Arctis P14 PWM) and they worked exactly as intended even when using the same USB-adapter cable that was included in the Noctua NF-A20 5V package, it slows down, and speeds up accordingly!

Den Verkäufer (PC-King) kann ich allerdings nicht empfehlen. Die Sendung wurde angeblich verschickt. Nach 6 Tagen war sie aber noch nicht da. Der Verkäufer hat mir auch nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen keine Sendungsnummer bereitstellen können. Nach Weiteren 4 Tagen hatte ich das Teil dann endlich. Leider sehr schlechte Kommunikation.

...aber da war es dann auch schon. Das Teil ist winzig, anhand der Bilder geht man im ersten Moment von einem etwas größeren Gerät aus.
Ich habe es zur Ansteuerung zweier 12cm-Gehäuselüfter eingesetzt, welche als "besseren" Ersatz für die beiden alten Grafikkartenlüfter (welche aus irgendeinem Grund den Geist aufgegeben haben) dienen. Das PWM-Signal vom Board gab irgendwie nicht viel her und die Lüfter drehten nur mit ca. 600-700rpm. Jetzt drehen die Lüfter zumindest, dank zusätzlicher SATA-Power über die Steuerung mit ca. 1300-1400rpm.

Warum also nur 2 Sterne? Die Steuerung ist Noctua-Typisch sehr gut verarbeitet und macht was sie soll. Auch die beiliegenden Kabel scheinen hochwertig. Doch nur dank eines noch vorhandenen, leeren Slots für ein 3,5-Zoll Diskettenlaufwerk, konnte ich die Steuerung einigermaßen sinnvoll unterbringen. Mir erschließt sich nicht wirklich, wie man sowas sonst extern am PC anbringen soll, um damit interne Lüfter zu steuern. Vielleicht wären etwas längere Kabel mit abnehmbaren Steckern möglich, so das man die Kabel durch schmale, kleine Gehäuseöffnungen führen kann. Man versieht ja nicht weitmöglichst sein PC-Gehäuse mit Feinstaubfiltern, nur auf diese Weise dem Staub wieder regelrechte Pforten zu öffnen! 1 Stern geht definitiv für die lediglich nur englische Anleitung drauf, welche auch nur aus einem zweiseitigen und zusammengeklappten Zettel besteht. Zumindest die Bilder darauf vereinfachen das Ganze etwas, aber eine deutsche Anleitung wäre trotzdem schön gewesen.

Wer wie ich nicht ständig manuell nachregeln muss und es ebenfalls z.B. in einem Laufwerkslot verbergen kann, dem ist mit dieser Steuerung geholfen. Sie ist schlicht und einfach (wenn man erstmal weiß wie) installiert und tut ihren Job. Man kann mit ihr aber lediglich 1 oder mehrere Lüfter simultan steuern und nicht einzelnd. Wer mehrere Lüfter separat steuern möchte, der sollte sich nach etwas anderem entsprechenden umsehen. Doch nochmal würde ich sie nicht kaufen, denn (auch wenn es Noctua-Qualität ist) ich finde den Preis dann doch etwas zu hoch für so ein winziges Teil!
