Product description

Review

"Mindset--having the right mindset--is one of the most important suc- cess factors of great and inspiring leaders. Kevin Cottam's leadership book seamlessly interconnects ancient nomadic wisdom and today's leadership in a revealing, story-filled book that shares the vital qualities of a nomadic mindset. The Nomadic MindsetTM is a necessary read for leaders of all levels traversing today's disruptive environments."

Marshall Goldsmith - Thinkers 50 Ranking: #1 executive coach and the only two-time #1 leadership thinker in the world

"Captivating stories and reminders. The Nomadic MindsetTM explores per- sonal leadership qualities essential for good living and well-being in our rapidly changing world. Profiling three typologies--the nomad, the builder, and the settler--this new book makes a compelling case for appreciating and cultivating our ancient nomadic wisdom."

Ron Kaufman - New York Times Bestseller, Uplifting Service

"Intriguing and timely! This book brings the wisdom of the nomadic peo- ple, who have adapted for centuries to the ever-changing nature, to today's disruptive world and shows us the way to migrate to the new future."

Wendy Tan - Wholeness in a Disruptive World

"A book for our time. An opportunity to look forwards to where we need to go in the future while looking back at the wisdom we've lost or ignored from the past. When ancient cultures understand change is paramount to survival, without losing the essence of who they are, that is worth reflecting on. A powerful leadership manifesto that should be a must-read for busi- ness leaders everywhere."

Andrea T. Edwards - The Digital Conversationalist

"Insightful and inspirational, with engaging stories of travel and meeting interesting people, Kevin takes us on an outer and an inner journey. As humans, we are all intentionally or unintentionally moving from point 'A' to point 'B, ' and this book raises some important questions on what leadership is really about--highly recommended."

Andrew Bryant - CSP speaker, coach,

Self-Leadership: How to become a more successful, effective & efficient leader from the inside out

"A modern era 'nomadic' Robinson Crusoe. Daniel Defoe's epic novel, Robinson Crusoe, has been enjoyed by tens of millions of adventurous readers. I believe the same will happen with Kevin's book. The key dif- ference is his book is rich with real people's stories and experiences that we can adopt to upgrade our own leadership journey for a storybook life."

Rob Salisbury B.Com. - CSP, Leadership Strategist

"A tour de force of wisdom. This book is alive. If you are ready to develop a mindset that is free, curious, and willing to change and adapt to collaborate with the people with whom you share the same space, this is the book you cannot be without to navigate today's complex world."

Dr. Philip Merry - A Leading Expert on Synchronicity and Leadership

About the Author

Kevin Cottam is a Global Nomad. Based in Canada with outposts in Singapore, Brussels, and Lisbon, his mission is to inspire and encourage organizations and individuals to remove borders and expand their mindset: to embrace The Nomadic Mindset. From his early beginnings as a champion figure skater, a former elite figure skating choreographer for world and Olympic champions, and a director of large-scale productions such as the 1988 Olympic Closing Ceremonies, Kevin has naturally sought to expand his students' and audiences' creativity and flexibility by presenting story-rich visual experiences. Today, he continues his mission by inspiring leaders in multinational enterprises (e.g., Thales, Givaudan, Club Med, L'Oreal, Nestle) and public sector (European Union) environments as a global inspirational keynote speaker, executive coach, and trainer, so he can further touch more cultures, people, and organisations. He is also author of Aha, Mother's Pearls, a compilation of twenty-seven personal Aha moments of realisation: a pre-cursor self-help book to the leadership book, The Nomadic Mindset: Never Settle...for Too Long. www.thenomadicmindset.com
