This pan is made well, bakes perfectly, and cleans up easily. I always prefer natural aluminum over dark or coated pans that over brown food and the coatings scratch. And I’ve always been satisfied with my Nordic Ware. If I could give it 4.5 stars I would because there is one thin that bothers me. They now have an embossed logo on the bottom that is raised up inside the pan. It can imprint into the baked goods and can collect gunk if you don’t line the pan with parchment. When lining the pan with parchment, the raised logo prevents the parchment form sticking completely to the bottom. These are very minor quibbles, but my older Nordic Ware have logos simply etched on the underside...they should have kept it that way.

I love Nordic baking pans. They do a great job. Recently I baked a banana bread. I never grease the sides of the pan, only the bottom. In the pics you can see the baked bread, the pan after I turned the bread out, and the pan after I washed it with warm soapy water using a sponge.

I have been baking bread for years with this same recipe. I baked my bread at the same temperature for the same amount of time and obviously this pan does not conduct heat because you can see it did not brown and it was not cooked through. Very disappointed and I will be returning it.

I do not like “non-stick pans”. I much prefer silver aluminum baking pans. This pan is thick sturdy aluminum and baked banana bread & a pound cake beautifully! Loved this pan so much that I ordered a second one so I can make double loaves to give one loaf away!

When using aluminum this is my method...1) Use paper towel to lightly coat inside with crisco shortening, 2) Add a thin coat of flour to inside & shake out the excess 3) Pour batter in, tap pan on counter a few times for possible air bubbles 4) Allow bread to cool at least 15 mins, 5) Run a butter knife around the edges before turning the bread out out.
