This cup has been an absolute lifesaver for our family. One of our children has autism and he is VERY particular about his cups. We are restricted to hard straws and a good lid because when he's done with anything, he tosses it. We used a different version of this cup for years, but over time, the insides of the lids got gross where you couldn't clean them and one by one we had to toss them out. I eventually exhausted my options for purchasing that older model and we were presented with a dilemma as he was starting school.

Low and behold, this cup came across my search results. I ordered 2 with high hopes it would do the trick since the lid is the same style as the older one (with a slight upgrade when it comes to the removable seal). We ended up with a seamless transition into this cup and couldn't be happier. Even with all of the throws across the room, the lid has never failed us. Yes, sometimes liquid comes cascading up out of the straw. However, there is not one straw cup we have owned that didn't do that when the temperatures inside and outside of the cup create the perfect storm.

My ONLY complaint is that the plastic used with the lid is now opaque instead of translucent. With the other model, I can see inside enough to know when it's getting gross and needs replaced. Now that the plastic is opaque, I can't see inside, so I have to just intermittently replace these as we go and hope I'm doing that in time.

This is the best cup. My 4 year old with Down syndrome has cheed through so many straws. This cup is bite proof. It first cup we had for six months and just added anther to the rotation. It's so easy to disassemble and throw in the dishwasher. It only leaks if the bite valve is open, but if you close it, it's leak proof.

Perfect hard straw cup

My 4yo has speech delays and has oral motor issues so i needed a tough straw.

Most straws are not made this way on other “hard straw cups”

Easy to clean and use. Bought 2 for daily switch out.

I only use with water. It will leak out the straw if it’s over filled. We fill you underneath the silicone grip band.

Yes he can bite it but it doesn’t affect shape. Just leaves bite marks.

I wanted to love this cup. My son needs a harder spout straw, because he bites holes into silicone spouts. Our options are very limited for harder straws. I was hopeful when I purchased this cup. However, Its VERY hard for my 3.5 yr old son to open the straw when its fully clicked closed (heck, its hard for me to do too). And sometimes, the cup will leak when tipped over (but not every time). It almost seems like it depends on if there is any air stuck somewhere in it as to whether it leaks or not. I would not purchase again.

The good aspect is that its very easy to clean. The seal inside the lid actually has a pull tab to remove as well, which is great. Goodness knows Ive damaged enough silicone seals in lids digging them out to be properly cleaned, so this is very appreciated!
