My package came with 39 items in total (everything pictured). Most of the snacks tasted great. There were only a couple I didn't care for. The pink package with the strawberries on it were particularly rough :P. Overall a nice variety of items.

Delivery arrived earlier than estimated. It does come all the from Japan though. So, be ready to wait. Expect shipping to take around 2 to 3 weeks.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok if customs doesn't get to it first.

I only had 31 items. The box was destroyed and retaped. Inside the box I also had a notice from US customs office (newark) that my package had been intercepted and was found to contain prohibited items and those items had been rmoved. I ordered this on Jan 19 2018. It arrived yesterday, Feb 20, 2018. From what I can tell, it has been sitting in customs for almost a month. There was a stern warning that I"m supposed to tell the seller they are violating something or another.
While this was a lot of fun to bring to work for my small office to all share, I probably would not order again. Because it was shipped with items that are not allowed into my country, it took a very long time to arrive...and I am short a few items bc they were taken.
Over all, most of the snacks are sorta bland. None are really bad (except the Prawn chips, but I don't like shrimp, so not really the chip's fault) but nothing was "oh wow! I love this" either. If it had arrived faster and not been stopped by customs, I might consider ordering again for a small get together as sampling everything would be a great ice breaker for a small get together. The items were good, I just wish the seller could, in the future, avoid including items that will make the package get detained in New Jersey for almost a month.

2.0 out of 5 stars Presentation, Selection and Taste
Reviewed in the United States on 9 April 2019
I don't want this to become a novel so I'll try to keep it short, but have split my review into 3 sections.

Presentation
Presentation isn't everything, but they could have at least made a little effort, not the least of which means that the picture on the front is misleading. This does not, in fact, come in a box but rather wrapped in a plastic garbage/grocery bag (picture attached). I like that you can see all the candy, but it feels rather cheap which, granted, you get what you pay for and this isn't awfully expensive for what you're getting, but I feel like it could have been presented a little better.

Selection
As others have pointed out, this definitely feels like a selection of cheap candies, many of which were part of larger packs that were disassembled and distributed out. Again though, not unexpected considering the price, but you also aren't really getting a good taste for good Japanese candy. That's like, if a Japanese person ordered an American version of this product, someone going to the dollar store and buying all the knock off brands of smarties, sweet tarts, wax bottle candies, and other cheap candies, tearing out the individual packs and putting them in a bag and shipping them. Sure, they technically come from America and some Americans probably do eat them, but there are far better candies out there with far richer/better flavors.

Taste
Taste is pretty hit or miss with these. One thing you have to keep in mind, is that American's have sugar in EVERYTHING. I mean everything. If you've ever tried to cut out sugar you know what I mean. Other countries, like Japan, limit the amount of sugar so candy and such isn't going to taste as sweet. In fact, I'd say the candy in this pack was the best part about it. None of the other snack items (chips, whatever those puff rolls are, and the like) had flavors nearly as good or interesting. In fact, many tasted downright awful. Again, a limitation likely of the cheap stuff and not indicative of the better Japanese products available out there. Imagine you had a visitor from another country visiting, and you went to the store. Would you buy a bag of ketchup chips and tell them "this is what everyone in America eats"? No, because it's a novelty that some people like, but the majority of American's don't. We typically eat other flavors that are more basic like cheese/cheddar, sour cream, onion, etc. So these products definitely tasted like they were off brand and not very good.

Anyway, that's it. I gave it 2-stars because the candy was still decent and what I expected (I've had Japanese Crate boxes before) but the chips/non-candy items were pretty inedible (not that I have a very refined palate mind you).
