I'm Recovering from a Brain Injury. I practice reading this. Someday I'll do it in public.
I'm so determined to inspire and be there for fellow people with brain injuries. Socialization is hardest for me. My social cues are not functioning well. The more I recover, the harder it is to realize I'm annoying & a burden. My solace is knowing I can start a support group and uplift people like me who look fine but have invisible injuries. Thank goodness for dogs still enjoying my offbeat social skills. Interrupting, non-stop talking, off subject, loudly talking, etc, etc,
I forgot to wash conditioner out of my hair yesterday or to use soap. I don't remember to get dressed appropriately. I lock myself out of the house by noon, I'm doing better.
This book inspires me on bad days.
