The top is dark grey. The toys don't really hold my son's attention for long. We found a way to rig links between two open slots so we could add our own toys. That helped. The middle cover for when you make it into a table is white so it doesn't match the rest of the table top.
Update: as we’ve gone on, I am still happy with this purchase. Every couple weeks he pics a new toy to be interested in. He seems very comfortable in the seat. He’s 8months now and we’ve enjoyed it for a month and a half now.
He has started walking around the outside. The toys don’t turn around to face the outside. My son doesn’t care-but it seems like the company could easily make them reversible.
We’ve washed the seat. It washed well!
