This lap desk was exactly what I needed! I decided to move my PC off my desk and into my living room and hook it up to my big screen TV. I sit in a recliner chair, so the challenge was then finding a proper way to place and use my mouse and keyboard.

I tried using some random flat objects from around the house, nothing really worked well or was awkward or uncomfortable. I searched Amazon for a lap desk and most seemed either too small (even the "large" ones, or either had or lacked features I didn't want or need. Example, many had built in wrist cushion, but I use my own and sometimes prefer not to use it. Some didn't have bottom padding, etc.

This lap desk is absolutely perfect for my needs. It is large, but not too much, it fits my space perfectly. It is big enough to support my keyboard, wrist pad, mouse and large mousepad just right. It also rests right between the two armrests of my recliner chair.

It has the perfect padding on the bottom, it's comfortable, but not too soft, a nice firm cushioning. I have used it for hours on end with no discomfort or fatigue. Also has a small lip at the bottom of the surface area, so you can use at an angle without having your laptop/keyboard/mouse fall off. I also like the little holder slit near the top of the surface area, fits phone or other small items for convenience.

Not cheap material either, very light but sturdy, quality wood and cushion material. Would highly recommend.

Fits MBP 16" plus iPad Mini

Writing this on a 16 inch Macbook Pro 16" with M1 (2021) while it's sitting on this very lap desk. Still got space for a mid-sized mouse, and the tablet holder on the back holds an iPad Mini 5 with (thin) case (see pic) .

Very sturdy desk, comfy and solid quality knee padding on bottom, (not the sand bag / memory foam type though, unfortunately). Padding gets a little warm over time but no more so than a sand bag based one (I got that too).

There's a rubber ribbon on the upper left, presumably to hold closed notebooks. Again, totally pointless for most people and it, too, can't be removed. Not a huge issue but I want to mention it.

Overall a very solid, very useful lap desk that also looks really nice. Compares favorably to the slightly smaller Sofia and Sam oversized memory foam lap desk, which is also very good but just a tad smaller and not quite as classy looking IMO.

Utility and quality are there for sure. It also has a pretty classy wood/bamboo appearance that I dig. I HATE that I can't remove that annoying wood bar on the front. Yes, it prevents the laptop from sliding off toward me, but the surface is plenty non-glossy and most laptops have a decent non-slip bottom. So I feel like that wood bar is unnecessary in many cases and should be removable. It constantly digs into my wrists and I hate that.

The tablet holder on the back is really only good for a very narrow range of devices: phones, small tablets (like Mini 5). Maybe fine for pens, too. The actual pen-holder next to it is totally useless IMO. It's simply too shallow to hold a pen safely.

This is an excellent lap desk overall. I have been using it constantly since I received it, and definitely think it's worth the high-ish cost.

The bamboo seems to be of pretty decent quality, and it actually came sealed (which has not always been the case for other bamboo items I've purchased). The surface is smooth but slightly textured due to the grain of the wood; there is one small deeper almost-crack (see picture), but quite frankly I can barely feel it, and I am normally very sensitive to texture issues. It's the kind of thing you could probably fix yourself if it bothers you too much. I have had zero issues using an optical mouse on it without a mouse pad. I have noticed zero issues with my laptop getting warm when it's on the lap desk.

Size-wise, I can comfortably fit my 14" laptop with plenty of room to use my mouse when I have it scooted to the side (see picture to see exactly how I use it). There is a little wedge on the underside if you want to change the angle, although I haven't felt the need to use that yet. The small block that keeps your laptop from sliding off is quite square, so it's not very comfortable to have your wrist resting on. I use it at an angle where I basically bypass it, but you will need to figure out a mitigating solution that works for you. The surface also is not super grippy, so be careful about things without rubber feet like pens or mice, as they tend to take a journey if you shift too suddenly! The little slot for a pen and your phone works pretty OK, but don't count on it too heavily if you're moving your lap desk around.

All in all, definitely worth a buy if you're looking for a solid lap desk that will allow your device room to ventilate and give room for mouse movement.

Très solide. Je m’en sers pour corriger. Le creux pour mettre un crayon est pratique, puisqu’il il ne tombe pas lorsque je le dépose par terre. A un certain poids sur soi qui n’est pas désagréable. Le trou plus petit (pas assez creux pour y faire tenir quoi que ce soit) est inutile.. en fait, je n’ai pas encore compris son usage. ;)

Keep in mind that the slot for a smartphone may not hold the smartphone if it has a case. The lap desk is adjustable so it leans up towards you while in your lap, which is a nice feature. This thing is really well made. I've been using this lap desk for my computer every day, 8+ hours a day, for almost 3 years now, and it feel like it's in just as good shape as the day I received it. There's a little wall thing at the front of the desk that keeps things from sliding off -- I do wish it were not quite as tall, just measured it, it's about 5/8" tall, which doesn't sound like much but my computer is much much thinner than that so it gets in the way of my wrists sometimes. The wall thing also feels very sturdy and well-made, it is just not going anywhere. I like that the cushion underneath has a well-defined shape, so it's easy to get the whole thing to be level if it's on a level surface, or you can flip out the middle bit to give the whole thing a slope I guess but I haven't ever really used it that way.

As a disabled university student who does a lot of studying while lying down, this lap desk has made my life so much easier. Between the rest on the bottom and the corner strap on the top it holds even massive textbooks in place hands-free, the memory foam cushion is super comfortable on my legs, and I love that part of the cushion can fold out into a stand with adjustable height to give it a slanted surface for easier reading. The bamboo surface is great for writing on, too, though the slot for a phone/tablet gets in the way a little bit. For those who are buying it as a laptop table: I got the smallest size, and my laptop is pretty big, but it fits on it fine.
