I absolutely love the appearance of this soap dispenser and, therefore, really wanted it to work! I even tried to justify ignoring the bad reviews by assuming each author must have simply used the wrong type of soap or that maybe their tolerance for what they considered to be functional was exceptionally high, etc. No...unfortunately...they were 100% correct!! THIS SOAP DISPENSER DOES NOT WORK!!!!
The soap dispenser does a good job of recognizing my hand and goes through all the appropriate motorized sounds that would make someone assume it is working...so, I initially thought I just hadn't given it enough time to clear all the air still trapped within the tube after having added soap. I had purchased a different brand of soap dispensers, for a room that could only tolerate a light color, and it worked great after just a few priming squirts....but not this one!!
It almost felt as though my daughter and I were tag teaming wrestlers as we took turns triggering that sensor over and over and over and over again (eventually incorporating sign language and what we thought might create interesting shadow puppets, with our hands/fingers, just to ease the repetitive boredom), hoping for even just one tiny, miniscule squirt!
I'm not picky; I loved how it looked well enough to justify using such a dispenser with only a 1/4 of the capacity of others...I might have even considered 1/8th....but this soap dispenser never even released one single droplet!! My daughter and I "literally" spent around 30 minutes triggering that freakin' sensor...and spent the next couple weeks repeating the process, and we also attempted to use every time we used that sink, with FOUR different brands/types of soap!!! I even resorted to mixing water into each solution after completely giving-up on each one, as a last resort, since I had read somewhere that doing so might help...but nope.
Maybe each person leaving a negative review received the only 'lemons' ever sold...but I doubt it!! I hardly ever return items to Amazon, especially after attempting to use it...but I finally decided it was ridiculous to pay for something that didn't even work one time!!!
If you are like me and still decide to purchase it after reading the negative reviews...I hope you have better luck than I did!! In addition, if you are able to figure-out how to make it work, please let me know what you did...because even though I am completely miffed at how dysfunctional this dispenser is...and am still a bit grumpy about how much effort I put into trying to get it to work...I, irrevocably, still love how it looks!!
