The product which I received has a packaging of Palmers cocoa butter, but inside the lotion smells neither like cocoa nor like butter. It doesn't even smell like lotion. Its a duplicate product. I threw the packaging, thinking Amazon always delivers genuine product and I wouldnt have to return it. As i have bought this product from Amazon in the past But this time I was duped. Not expected this from Amazon.
Not only was I sent the wrong item, the lotion inside the bottle is clearly not Palmer's Cocoa Butter. It smells and feels like a cheap, generic lotion. I'm very familiar with the real product and the brand, so I know a fake when I see it. Hopefully I get a refund.
I used this cream here and there during my first pregnancy. I didn't get any stretch marks until late into my third trimester, so I started using the cream more frequently at that point. The stretch marks I got, did lighten up and get smoother. I have very fair, sensitive skin, so I easily scar. I didn't expect for the cream to make my stretch marks magically disappear, so I was just happy that they lightened up. Now that I'm pregnant again, I started using this cream again once my belly really started grow. The cream is thick and makes my skin so soft. I haven't gotten any new stretch marks yet, and perhaps I won't this time around! I'll update this review as I get further into my pregnancy.
Soo i was a little hesitant to buy this particular line of lotion due to the reviews. I have always used palmer's with my previous pregnancy and relatively had no stretch marks. I know this can all be affected from a variety of things but I think Palmers definitely helps. Many of the reviews had stated this lotion doesn't have the "smell" that lotion normally has. I would agree and say that the scent is not as strong, but I think it is because its a concentrated lotion. It doesn't have a bad smell at all, just not as strong as other Palmer's lotions. Still provides excellent moisture. Would buy again.
This lotion is working really well to prevent stretch marks! I'm 8 months pregnant now with no new marks. I use it every night and after I shower! A small amount goes a long way and it spreads really easily. My only complaint is the smell, I hate it and think it smells horrible! But I know it's because of the ingredients and I'm not sure if adding a different scent on top of its current smell would really help any. But the smell it worth it sense I'm not getting stretch marks!
Bought his for pregnancy marks, but was mostly disappointed.
Has great lightweight scent, however the product doesn't glide smoothly and it causes dead skin to collect really fast and clump up. It's gross. My husband was helping me apply it on my back and tummy and noticed that.
Felt like it doesn't dry fast enough...just gave it away to a friend. Wasn't worth it.
Went with Palmer's cocoa butter formula moisturizing body oil instead and sooo much happier ;)
