Bought this and went through the manual. Things that we often take for granted is mentioned in the manual. To not hold it by the end/cable but the 'ring' area. Something that i always like to do, to just let it slip through my hands and drop to the floor gently. So i wish the area is more enforced so that it will not damaged easily/prone to damage.
Other than that, Singapore is always far behind Japan market. They have a new launch recently for this series while we just receive this as 'new' introduce product to our market.
After blowing my hair dry at night, hair looks nicer (volume/smoother) in the morning. Compared to the other brands (tried GHD/Panasonic/Philips higher/highest end models), i think this is better. Although manual mentioned there might be some odd smell from the Ion? but i think its okay. Not as bad as another Japanese model that i tried.
There's a function to change hot to automatic sensor (@ hot function to let the unit adjust the temperate according to room temperature) but this function doesnt get programmed in. Have to press it everytime the function is selected.
Face is only activated at (i think) level 1 fan level.
Close eyes while using the skin mode, 20cm from the face (at least) as the manual mentioned the ions? are bad for eyes.
I like the scalp mode but ....... maybe some will not see any difference between hot/cold vs scalp at lower temperature.
Just a reminder, remember not to use it near water or basin. It also mentioned to use it directly on wall socket, not extension...... but i still use it on extension (with approved safety mark).
When its at highest fan speed, the dryer allows user to change from hot to hot/cold, cold mode so its not as hot as normal hair dryer where highest fan speed = highest temperature.
Overall, i think its a good purchase. I bought it even when my other dryers (Panasonic / GHD) are still working and this is the best. I think this should be how hair dryer works.
