Open the zip-lock of your milk bag.

I love these clips! It says it doesn't work for Medela bags (which is true) but I bought 100 Medela bags before discovering these clips. So my husband (who didn't want to be wasteful - since baby expenses are high already) he was innovative enough to patiently cut the tops of the Medela bags to work with these clips and my Spectra S2 pump. See my pictures on how to cut the Medela bags. Basically, cut the sides of the tops off just right above the zipper seal.

Might as well pump into a bottle - just as much hassle to wash and use these.

You might as well pump into small bottles because these things are just as big and you still have to wash just as many items with these and directly pumping into a bag than just using a bottle. And these are way more hassle.

They do not go deep enough into any bag and the spout sits right around the bag entrance sometimes leading to spills and leaks. They are also so big/long that when you attach a bag the bag goes all the way down to your lap hitting your legs and causing the bag to collapse. You have to constantly fiddle with the bags when using these to keep the bag opened and expanded and prevent milk from pooling at the top. So much less hassle and peace of mind while your pumping to just use bottles. The only direct pumping into a bag I thought was worth it was kiinde. But they are expensive. Especially if you are exclusively pumping.

Skip these and just get bottles. Or if you have spectra you can just put lansinoh bags right over the spout of the flange and they stay very well and bags actually stay expanded. Just don’t walk around with them obviously.

Easy to clean! It clips onto the Lansinoh bags I use for collecting breast milk somewhat easily. But maybe I’m just clumsy. I only have filled it up to 2 oz when clipped onto the flanges... not sure if it will hold when the bag is filled to 5oz though. All in all, makes collecting while pumping very convenient.
