My husband has struggled with bad breath and gum issues for some time now. He has tried everything from special toothpaste to expensive mouthwash.
While this is a pretty expensive product, I can tell you it absolutely works! The small bottles of medicated mouthwash my husband has been buying are five pound a pop, don't last long, and so far haven't really worked. This little spray bottle was 19.99 at the time of ordering, but it lasts about the same time as 4 bottles of the expensive mouthwashes so we are no worse off! And for the first time in what seems like more than a year, my husbands breath is completely unnoticeable! His gums are looking a lot healthier too.
He has said it is not deserving of five stars though because the flavour is so unbelievably vile that it makes him gag. But he takes this 5 minutes of disgust in order to feel more confident when talking to people :-)

I've had a New Zealand-made Plantonin product before - like this Healthy Gums Mouth Spray Plus, not cheap but high quality and very effective. The 50ml of product comes in a metal aerosol spray bottle that's easily portable and at 4 sprays per serve, it contains 142 serves per can.

Sore gums had been causing me problems for the past week or so - a painful and irritating thing - when I saw Mouth Spray Plus. If you have this problem, you probably won't care one jot what it tastes like and are likely to be willing to put up with that provided it works.

The good news is it does work. And very well and quickly too. It's also easy to use - just spray 4 times under your tongue and leave for 30 seconds before taking it right around your mouth. Then swallow, as the pack states though the listing suggests it can be spat out. I shall swallow as I'm convinced of the beneficial properties of this product.

Though it contains ginger, hops and Totarol, it doesn't taste of ginger - or beer sadly despite those hops. Actually, it doesn't taste good at all but if your gums are as sore as mine have been, that won't trouble you. Like me, you may be quite desperate and will try anything.

Worth a special mention is the Totarol, which I'd never heard of but which may well be the star ingredient here. A natural, organic product, it comes from the heartwood of a tree native to New Zealand - Podocarpus Totara and was discovered and isolated as a result of observing this tree's apparent resistance to rotting and infection.

Using the spray will also promote saliva production, which again helps with oral health. To say I'm impressed by Plantonin's Healthy Gums Mouth Spray Plus is a real understatement. Yes, it is that good. I was despairing of finding anything that would not only give relief but would also offer the long term benefits I need. I know it may seem pricey but to me it's worth every penny.

My verdict is on the strength of the single 4 spray serving I took around 5 hours ago - which is still working. If your gums are sore or presenting problems generally, I'd urge you to give this spray a go. It's made my mouth feel almost instantly better already. I only wish I'd found this spray sooner.

This comes in a small 50ml spray bottle that’s easy to use. It’s targeted to help with gingivitis/bleeding gums.

The product seems of a good quality, manufactured in New Zealand under strict guidelines and the highest standards. It contains natural ingredients such as hops, ginger and totarol oil that are said to be able to destroy the harmful bacteria in the mouth.

I got this for my husband who often complains of sore gums. He’s been using it for a few days now and said he can feel that his mouth is more moist and he also notices less gum soreness.

That said, the flavour is quite strong and may not be to everyone's liking. I tried it, and had to spit it out. I know it’s good and natural, but it’s quite bitter for me. My husband doesn’t seem to mind the bitterness, he took it with ease. I guess it’s a personal preference, so it’s hard to say whether you are going to like it until you try it.

It seems effective though, so it might be worth a try if you are looking for a natural alternative for gingivitis. It’s available on Amazon for £19.99 (at the time of writing).

This Plantonin Healthy Gum Spray has a strong, spicy and somewhat bitter taste that seems mostly from the black pepper and ginger. I don’t mind the taste at all, but it may be intense for some. So far, this spray makes my teeth feel extra smooth and clean, plus my breath feels fresh. And it lasts for many hours after use. I notice less gum pain and sensitivity, and in turn I’m flossing more and my gums are bleeding less. This also feels like it leads to increased saliva, so it may be effective
Definitely stimulates saliva production. After using, I can feel extra saliva secretion which prevent dry mouth. I am not a fan of the beginning taste. I think the GINGER makes it a bit overpowering at first for me although I can easily tolerate it IF it helps prevent gum disease! Can had some deformities upon arrival but was not leaking.
