These are decently warm with proper layering underneath. The stitching, as others have mentioned, isn’t great, but as long as you don’t force your boots through the pants, and gently move the pants over the boots, it should be fine. I haven’t had a chance to test their water resistance, but they worked well in high single digit temps with negative wind chill (with the proper layering underneath of course).
Fit is good; I ordered 4XL to fit over my layered clothes, and it fits well with extra clothes.
Straps are elastic or stretchy like suspenders.
The reason for the 3 stars is there aren’t any pockets. I have to have access to my gear which I keep in my cargo pockets which are covered by the pants.
Awesome gear for outdoor construction use! Well worth the money and size fit well. Always took my boots off because you can never trust the zippers on any bibs. Definitely water proof and wind resistant. Bibs are a little warm for days above 50 degrees. Even if you get 2 years of use out of them it’s still cheaper than a pair of expensive bibs.
Really great buy. Expensive, yes. But I can put it on without taking oversized boots with. Working in fuel, it's nice to have to meet all the requirements of the racks in the rain. Lots of features, lots of protection, and comfortable. Definitely buy if you work in fuel, excellent, and you stay dry as a bone. Even when I used them in rain storms dumping 4-5 inches'hour.
Husband really likes these bibs. They feel very durable and he said they are super warm. He appreciates the straps on the bottom of the legs because he’s short and this keeps the pants from dragging the ground. They also seem to be true to size.
I bought "Viking Professional Insulated Journeyman FR Waterproof Flame Resistant Jacket" and "Viking Professional Insulated Journeyman FR Waterproof Flame Resistant Bib Pant". I strongly recommend this for safety ride a motorcycle. Of cause, you don't worry about rainy cold weather as well. Even if I'm working in the -20C freezer with very comfortable.
This is a fine fr rain jacket if the rain is light and short. But once the real rain starts this suit is no longer water proof. My advice would be to insure you can throughly dry the suit over night and be prepared to get wet if it rains hard all day.
