Tone Your Core
Shake up your standard workout with the Core Balance Disc from ProsourceFit, designed to activate your core muscles and improve overall strength and balance. The unstable surface requires your body to engage all of your core muscles for stability, resulting in better strength and toning, coordination, and posture. The 14" diameter makes for a compact and versatile exercise tool that will help increase your fitness level and abilities.
The inflatable disc is dual-textured for a non-slip grip, and provides an uneven surface that challenges your body in new ways. The inflation amount can be adjusted for more or less sturdiness, depending on your workout needs. The textured surface prevents slipping, and the raised bumps on the bottom can provide a massaging effect for feet. You can also turn it over for a more stable base. Comes with a handy pump to make it easy to inflate and deflate for storage or travel.
At the gym or at home, use for floor crunches and Pilates abdominal exercises, squats and stationary lunges, or placed under feet during upper body exercises as a balance challenge for greater muscle recruitment and calorie burn. The balance disc can also be used as a seat cushion, ideal for desk users who don't want to sit on a stability ball. It provides the core strengthening and posture benefits of a ball and can be used anywhere.
It comes with a handy pump and manual that makes it easy to inflate and deflate for storage or travel. Following proper inflation instructions will help achieve maximum desired inflation for your workout needs.

There are lots of very pricey mat/wobble products sold to keep your feet busy and legs engaged while standing. For $15, this is just large enough to put both feet on, have the nubs up or down, force your core to pay attention to balance and cushion your feet.
There isn't any risk of "falling off" and by putting one foot on the floor, you're completely stabilized again. It isn't designed to be a desk accessory - but it works great for me. And with a little extra air in it, there are a number of actual theraoy/exercise uses for it as well.
I can't claim to have a newly ripped core or anything, but it must burn an extra few calories over standing on the floor.
Therefore, I was puzzled when I started developing lower back and hip pain- which are often signs of poor core strength. How could this be? I do core and balance training as part of my routine- and I can even stand on a stability ball! (or could, before my back and hip pain made it too painful). My core is strong, right!??
Well, it turns out that years of sitting at a desk start to take their toll- even if you work out regularly. An hour a day of activity doesn't make up for 8 or 10 hours sitting in a way the human body was not designed for. Especially if, like me, you have poor posture, or curl one leg up under you. Eventually, your exercise routine isn't enough to offset the ill effects of sitting, and your core muscles start to get imbalanced and weak.
It took me a while to figure this out, and when I did, buying an exercise cushion seemed like the logical thing to do. A stability ball would be too cumbersome to manage in my office space, and I liked the idea that I could also use this cushion for balance training.
I found it an excellent way to engage my core muscles and remind me to sit with my feet on the floor. I'd read that you shouldn't use it for more than an hour or two, but after the first few days I just left it in my chair all the time. It has been a godsend. Of course, the ultimate solution is not to sit at a desk all day- and I try to take more breaks now- but at least while I'm sitting now, it's not quite so bad for my body.
The ProSource cushion is high quality and a good value. For the price I can get a second one to add to my basement collection of exercise equipment.
