    Purgo USB C Hub Adapter Dock arrived today and it was immediately put to the test. The product packaging is fine and the gadget is solidly built. It fits the MacBook Air M1 2020 nicely and all the ports work as advertised. HDMI video is crisp and fast and USB C charges quickly without problems. Highly recommended companion to the USB C Mac.
    Only slight issue is that the ports are too tight, maybe because the dock is new. This presented problems when trying to unplug cables: the entire dock had to be removed from the Mac in order to detach the cables individually. Maybe after some usage, the ports will not be so snug and make unplugging easier.

    Loving the functionality of the multi-port USB C Hub for my new M1 MacBook Air! Equally important is that the gold colour of the dock is almost difficult to distinguish from the original gold colour of the Macbook. Item is also of quality build and definitely commensurate with the price paid. Will recommend!

    Okay, first off; this thing looks absolutely gorgeous from the pictures, holding it in real life felt amazing from the fact it's made out of aluminum and not to mention the build quality.

    But if it only looks pretty and doesn't get the job done.... what's the point, right?

    However, this hub looks pretty AND does what its supposed to do really well too. I've recently purchased an Air and was looking for the right hub that I wouldn't regret purchasing, this one certainly did not disappoint. The main selling point of it is it's appearance. It's light and compact form factor makes it easy to carry around, whether its in your pocket or laptop case. Also, and if you're worried about it scratching up your exorbitant machine, worry not because it comes with a synthetic leather storage case (image included). The hub attaches snuggly onto the two USB-C ports, eliminating almost any wobling or shakes.

    Moving on to performance.

    My Air was the 128GB version, so an external drive is a necessity. I attached my external SSD and tried transferring several MP4 files, so far the transfers didn't show any signs of stuttering or slowdown of any kind. iPhone charged normally through the USB 3 port, though I'm not sure about Android devices. One thing to keep in mind is that you will not be able to charge your machine by plugging it in into the USB-C port located on the center of the hub, that's because its only intended for data transfer. You can however, charge your machine by plugging it in into the port located on the end of the hub with the lightning marking on it.

    If you have a monitor with high refresh rates, you'll be able to achieve up to 120hz through HDMI cable. I'm not sure if it can go any higher than 120hz as I do not own a USB-C to DisplayPort cable to test, so I'll leave that for someone else to find out.

    Last but not least; is this hub worth it?

    In my opinion, yes. It does what I want and expect it to do, and its extremely easy to carry around plus it doesn't have the extension wire that gets in your way. This thing is literally the puzzle piece your MacBook is missing. Sure, there are some other options such as the ones offered by Anker, Satechi, Kingston and etc, but you can't beat the fact that this one comes with different variety of colors to match your machine.

    I purchased two of these trying to look for alternatives to an expensive docking station. I also have the 2018 MBP 15 with Vega 20 graphics so compatibility with the new MBP model is critical. These looked simple enough and seemed to have quality connection and ease of use according to other reviews. I was not disappointed! I snapped these babies in, plugged everything in that I needed and boom! Everything works great.

    I have a 1TB SSD external, 2-4K LG monitors, Scarlet 6i6 audio interface, USB type Microsoft mouse, and micro USB cable (for charing) all connected with plenty of ports to spare. The connections of the two USB-C plugs on each snap in snug and remain connected well. The color also matches pretty well with the space gray MBP color and I love the rounded edges to give a more polished look.

    If you're looking for more ports or just a possible dock alternative, I recommend this item 100%.

    I recently moved from a 2013 MacBook Pro to a 2018 MacBook Air. Moving from a MagSafe charger and several USB ports to a USB-C device had me concerned until I saw this dock adapter. When I opened it up I was impressed with the quality of the materials and how lightweight it was. I plugged it in, plugged in my USB-C charge cable and away I went. My new Bluetooth mouse was a bit flaky so I changed it to a USB. Voila! No more issues. The size is perfect to drop into a reading glasses slip-style case for storage. When traveling I may or may not use it (depending on the Bluetooth mouse's behaviour) but with it's size, it's easy to carry. Love it - oh, and the color matched my new laptop perfectly.

    I dislike the way the direction Apple is going towards, but I caved in for their laptops.
    Knowing I always use the same trusty mouse from middle school, I needed some sort of adaptor that would check off what I need. (I’m picky)

    -thin and slick
    -light weight
    -two USB A ports-one for my mouse and one for charging other things if needed
    -ssd card for uploading pictures
    -hdmi so I can do karaoke with my friends via laptop or watch shows from a larger screen.
    I’m happy that it ticks off what I need-I did notice while scrolling through amazon there are other similar ones with different brand names. This one does come with a little Faux leather case for the adaptor and no obnoxious brand name.
    So far I’m quite happy with this purchase.

    This little adapter is a great find! I recently purchased a new gold Mac Book Air laptop and needed to find an adapter that would give me access to power, ports and plug-ins. I hoped to find one that matched the new gold color Apple is using. AND I FOUND THIS BEAUTY! This dongle is slim fitting and if I want, can actually stay connected and still fit in my computer carrying case. I have one computer setup for home and another for work, so this adapter needs to be able to travel well..and it does that with no problem.

    It has all the access points that I need including HDMI and enough ports, power of course, and so much more. And I like that I can flip it around to extend out the back, if I need it. It is compact and doesn’t have all the extra cables like some of the other adapters I looked at and returned.

    Last, but not least in my book...this Purgo USB C Hub Adapter Dongle is beautiful and matches the color of my Mac Book Air perfectly! I’m so glad to have found this adapter and would recommend it to anyone looking for the same.
