Product description
ROBOTICS;NOTES ELITE & DaSH Double Pack offers two stellar visual novels for the price of one! Together in this Double Pack, both games are coming to the West for the first time. In ROBOTICS;NOTES ELITE, play as Kaito Yashio, one of the last two members of Central Tanegashima High's Robot Research Club. He kicks back and relax as his counterpart, the reckless club leader Akiho Senomiya, strives to complete their giant robot in order to keep the club from being disbanded. But Kaito's days of relaxation end with the discovery of the mysterious Kimijima Report. It contains instructions involving locations all across the island—and warns of a conspiracy targeting the entire world. In ROBOTICS;NOTES DaSH, the island of Tanegashima is preparing for the Summer Festival. Through Nae Tennouji, an acquaintance from Jaxa, Kaito Yashio is introduced to Itaru Hashida from the STEINS;GATE series. Itaru claims to be taking a tour of the island, but as time goes on he starts acting rather strangely... Meanwhile, unsettling incidents begin to occur all around them; harbingers of an event that will again plunge the world into chaos. ROBOTICS;NOTES Double Pack Day One Edition includes 2 never-before-released games and 4 collectible limited edition pin badges! The pin set features Kaito, Akiho, and their Tanegashi Machine from ROBOTICS;NOTES ELITE, and Daru from DaSH—only available in the Day One Edition of the Double Pack. Don't miss out on this exclusive Science Adventure series merchandise!

tl;dr - Fun visual novels, cool packaging & pins. Support official releases, weebs!
Well, what can I say... If you're familiar with the Science Adventure series, you'll probably already know how you're going to feel about these Visual Novels.
It's great to see these finally released officially in the west. I'm sure a lot of you have already played the original R;N through less legit methods, like myself, but wanted to show your support. That way we can get more/quicker releases in the future(For example, just look at the simultaneous release of the Haruhi Suzumiya LN in JPN & USA.)
Anyways, the packaging looks awesome, the pins look really good (minus the shipping damage *SEE PICTURE** but that'll be fixed easily with some 5 Second Nail Glue.) Haven't personally played DASH yet, but the original game was very fun & I'm looking for to playing R;N Elite.

Now onto robotics;notes DaSH, this one had such a different vibe it really caught me off guard. It’s got a fan service Daru vibe going on for some of the routes, there were a lot of funny moments. I haven’t laughed as hard through any of the SciAdv games as I have DaSH. Just know it has more of a lighthearted feel to it. The endings aren’t linear like elite and some are hit or miss, but mostly hit. Some routes felt kind of satire in DaSH but I still enjoyed myself a lot even though they didn’t have a serious save the world vibe. All in all it’s worth the play, and I enjoyed seeing Nae and Daru interacting with the R;N crew.
I’d say it’s a 10/10 for R;N Elite and an 9/10 for DaSH. If you enjoyed any of the SciAdv VN, you’ll enjoy these as well. For those not acquainted with the SciAdv series I’d say elite is still playable as your first entry, DaSH has a lot of S;G references so it’s best enjoyed after having experienced the S;G VN or at least the anime. Highly recommended.
I won’t spoil the ending, but the ending makes for an exciting future, and if you’ve ever wondered “why is Daru involved with these robot club kids? Why couldn’t they just keep the focus on the regulars in R;N?” You’ll know what they were going for by the end of the final phase.
If you purchase it on PS4 it comes with one disc for both games. And it didn’t come with the pins as it’s been so long since release, but to be fair I wasn’t expecting any. Support the official release so we get more!
