The first time my son fell off his bike and hit his head wearing this helmet it had gotten pushed back on his head. I had tried to position it correctly, but I assumed it was my fault for not getting the position right. So I adjusted it. Many times I readjusted this helmet. I assumed it was my fault. But no matter what i did the straps eventually worked into a position where the helmet would push back and leave his forehead exposed. I finally thought i had it figured out. I tightened up the front straps as much as i could and it really seemed like it was going to stay in place. But it slowly loosened... and today he was at the pump track and took a huge faceplant and the helmet did not protect him AT ALL. He's fine (and the helmet didn't even get dirty) but he's got an enormous goose-egg on his forehead. We're getting a helmet with a band that tightens and tightening clips that can lock the straps in place. The unicorn is great, but the manufacturer cheaped out on the attachment hardware, which is pretty messed up, but i guess everyone has different priorities.

I bought this for my 6yr old for Christmas. We have received so many compliments on it. The best is that it is very comfortable and my child doesn't complain about wearing it properly. Her other helmet is the traditional aerodynamic bike helmet. She doesn't like how it feels about constantly pushes it up, exposing her forehead. We don't have that problem with this helmet. She wears it for biking, scootering, and skating. She has fallen or crashed many times, but her head has been nicely protected. And, the helmet still looks great!

This helmet costed more than the other two unicorn helmets because it was supposed to light up. Upon arrival pressed the very hard "button" on the back (see first picture) several times incredibly hard and nothing happened, it did not light up. I pressed it a few more times and then determined it didn't look like anything in the helmet would actually light up. I decided to check the button again and realized it was just a small piece of plastic glued to the back of the helmet (see pictures 2 and 3). Now I'm worried if this is fake and unsafe. Will have to return this.

I almost didn’t buy this helmet because I couldn’t figure out the sizing. My daughter had the peacock helmet and it was getting too small. I couldn’t find the size of that helmet either so I went by age. Not a great indicator of size since kids vary so much.
BUT this helmet came, my daughter loves it. It fits how it’s supposed to with the removable padding in.
The peacock has been handed down to the little brother.
I hope he likes unicorns because this will be his next

Super cute and functional. Bought it to replace an Elsa helmet that just wasn't quite up to par...
The horn is like a rubber-ish material, you can bend it (but it is not like a cheap horn that is going to fall off or break), so it's not a hazard. It gives the head full coverage which is important for safety and it looks really cute. The colors have held up well and after a lot of use it still looks new. Definitely impressed with this product.
