Amazingly, whether this was a failure on Logitech's part or some fancy engineering on Razer's, the Nommos without the sub actually have more bass! I only have the bass dial at about 50% and it's plenty for me. People that really like to feel the thump in their chest will probably still need a subwoofer, but for everyone else, these are amazing.
The volume range goes from a whisper to cringing loud all through the built in volume knob, and having an off position is nice.
As I pointed out already, the bass control knob is also really nice, and noon or about 50% sounded best to me.
The option to have aux in beyond the normal input is a nice option, though I will probably never use it.
Headphone passthrough is also handy so that you probably won't have to change any volume settings on your pc.
I really like the rather understated aesthetic, just simple shapes and all black.
Like some others have said, they are quite big. This no doubt allows for the impressive bass performance, but it also makes my desk feel a bit cramped.
It would be nice for the cord connecting the two speakers to be detachable during setup so I could deal with one at a time.
This is pretty minor, but having all the ports on the back makes it challenging to plug or unplug headphones.
If you are not into audio, everything else about these are great, the look and feel, and product quality all felt great. I really wanted to like them, but I can't justify bad sounding speakers. I returned these and bought a $150 pair of edifiers that sound much better.
Yea, unless your criteria for purchase are "needs to look cool, ability to produce pleasant sound optional," these are a pretty hard pass. On a scale of 1 to 10, these are pretty booty. Not gonna lie.
Speakers died today out of the blue. First they started cutting in and out and then one side died entirely. Tried using different supply cord between computer and speakers with same problem, also grabbed a different speaker(s) and the other pair worked fine from the same port.

I did not purchase the model with the led colored feature, I was after sound quality at a reasonable price and these speakers did/do the job extremely well. I would not say i'm an audiophile but I do appreciate good sound whether gaming, listening to music or watching a video. These speakers have not let me down.
