To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
This latest issue of Rick Veitch's Rare Bit Fiends continues the artist-writer's foray into dream exploration, which he's been pursuing for decades now while working as a comics artist. But he's very serious about dream work, and he's put in both the in-depth studies & the actual practice, working within a Jungian framework. He's venturing into territory both psychological & metaphysical at this stage of his life, rendering it all in clear, vivid art in comics form—not merely because that's his artistic medium, but because of his conviction that comics is one of the best ways of capturing the look & feel of dreams. And I agree, as this newest addition to his corpus allows for the immediacy & power of the image, as well as the time required to pause & reflect on the image—and all that it contains & portends & reveals. For any serious student of dreamwork, Veitch is a major name—most highly recommended!
