I am a real reviewer. I paid for this and shelled out my own cash for this when it was on sale. I watched lots of YouTube videos before buying and decided this was the one mostly because the superior navigation maintained by a tech giant. I run a cleaning business and many of my clients use other top brands. I find lots of newer Roombas lost or throwing brush errors for no reason. I haven't been impressed with evo vacs software either. I think the combination of lidar, dual cameras, and software on this unit really sets the bar high for efficiency. My house is done in record time and it's SO much quieter! I had the original vacuum when it was still called Xaiomi Mi Robot Vacuum. It did not have the option to draw no-go lines and let me tell you, this feature is A LIFE SAVER. I can draw directly on the map so I no longer have to worry about shutting doors. Another cool feature is the AI. It's found numerous missing shoes under beds and couches. It drops a little shoe shaped pin in the map when it finds them. During a full cleaning, it notified me that it found poop. It was a brown rock my daughter found at the beach, but the vacuum stayed clear of it just in case. I set no-mop zones on all carpets. Once the mop is attached, it avoids those areas automatically. Because of the messy pets, my vacuum is scheduled to clean 3x a day. A full cleaning at 8am. Just the living room at 1pm (where my parrot makes the biggest mess) and one more time after dinner. I try to remember to slap on the mop attachment for this one otherwise it will just do another full cleaning. Which is fine too.
I attached a video to test the AI. It pushed the shoe at first, but seemed to recognize it and then avoided it AND the sock!
*Bonus tips*
If you set a shoe on each corner of your rugs, and run the vacuum, it will pin shoe icons to the corners of your rugs on the map for when you're drawing "no-mop zones". I spray cleaner on really dried messes before running the mop. I also learned from a YouTube video that there's a very helpful Roborock FB community for troubleshooting as well.
