I am a real reviewer. I paid for this and shelled out my own cash for this when it was on sale. I watched lots of YouTube videos before buying and decided this was the one mostly because the superior navigation maintained by a tech giant. I run a cleaning business and many of my clients use other top brands. I find lots of newer Roombas lost or throwing brush errors for no reason. I haven't been impressed with evo vacs software either. I think the combination of lidar, dual cameras, and software on this unit really sets the bar high for efficiency. My house is done in record time and it's SO much quieter! I had the original vacuum when it was still called Xaiomi Mi Robot Vacuum. It did not have the option to draw no-go lines and let me tell you, this feature is A LIFE SAVER. I can draw directly on the map so I no longer have to worry about shutting doors. Another cool feature is the AI. It's found numerous missing shoes under beds and couches. It drops a little shoe shaped pin in the map when it finds them. During a full cleaning, it notified me that it found poop. It was a brown rock my daughter found at the beach, but the vacuum stayed clear of it just in case. I set no-mop zones on all carpets. Once the mop is attached, it avoids those areas automatically. Because of the messy pets, my vacuum is scheduled to clean 3x a day. A full cleaning at 8am. Just the living room at 1pm (where my parrot makes the biggest mess) and one more time after dinner. I try to remember to slap on the mop attachment for this one otherwise it will just do another full cleaning. Which is fine too.
I attached a video to test the AI. It pushed the shoe at first, but seemed to recognize it and then avoided it AND the sock!
*Bonus tips*
If you set a shoe on each corner of your rugs, and run the vacuum, it will pin shoe icons to the corners of your rugs on the map for when you're drawing "no-mop zones". I spray cleaner on really dried messes before running the mop. I also learned from a YouTube video that there's a very helpful Roborock FB community for troubleshooting as well.

The Roborock S6 MaxV is completely different. After setting it up, we left all the interior doors in the house open while we were out for about an hour and it created a very accurate map of the house. Using the Roborock app, I separated all the rooms so I could tell it later to clean only specific rooms, or to schedule certain rooms to be cleaned at certain times. Most of this was actually automatic, I just adjusted the rooms to something that was more convenient than what it automatically generated when building the map. Now I can tell it to go clean the kids room on demand, or schedule it to clean the kitchen and dining room every night after dinner. It cleans each room very thoroughly and using the app I can tell it what power setting to use for each room. This is especially useful for scheduled cleanings at night where I can set it to use the quietest setting to avoid waking people up.
The best part about this robot is that it doesn't get stuck or lost. Using "no-go" zones with the app, I can tell it to avoid going under the couch or recliners which is where the Roomba would always get stuck. When it's done cleaning or its battery is low, it goes directly back to the charger; no wandering around until it finds it like the Roomba 675. If it was in the middle of a cleaning, it will go back to where it left off when its battery is full enough to complete the job. It also does a good job avoiding obstacles with its built-in cameras as long as it approaches them head-on. If it approaches from an angle, it may not see it with the cameras. We have luckily not had to test the dreaded dog poop scenario yet (one reason we replaced the Roomba 675...not fun). The mop feature is also great and works surprisingly well considering it's only dragging a damp cloth around the floor. I only wish it came with more than one reusable cleaning cloth in the box so you didn't need to wash it each time between mop jobs.
Lastly, the Roborock app works really well for scheduling, editing the map, and personalizing cleaning settings for each room. It also integrates with Google Home, although I wish it would allow you to name each room so you could just use Google to "tell Roborock to clean the kitchen," for example. This could easily be done in a software update so hopefully that's coming.
We could not be happier with this robot, it is a total game-changer.
Pros:
-Doesn't get stuck or lost under furniture
-Very accurate map divides house into rooms to clean together or individually
-Cleans very efficiently, no wandering around
-Adjustable power settings for each room or area, or on a schedule
-Mop function works really well
-Avoids most obstacles with its cameras
-Long-lasting battery is automatically recharged after or during a cleaning job
Cons:
-Only comes with one reusable mop cloth so you need to wash it before you can mop again
-App doesn't let you name rooms (as of this review)
-Often mis-identifies obstacles (but still avoids them). This is supposed to get better as it learns what's in your house.
