Luckily I had a backup ( my old mechanical drive). Lost 2 weeks of programming code and some graphics assets.
On inspections, it seems like the SSD has suffered an internal power fault. Likely candidate is that the 5v to 3v step down converter or one of its components has failed. There is a high pitched whine sound coming from it. Ah well, you have to try these things...
Do a google search for P34A80 Unic and you will see what I mean.
