There's not much to say about one of these pigtails - they either work or they don't. These DO work...

BUT the protective cap is very fragile and the "leash" that holds it on breaks easily, at least when the temp is below freezing. Not very useful when one puts these things on a car that sits outside in a Vermont winter.

Get another brand if you live up North. If you're in Florida, they might be OK.

During the winter months, three vehicles are idle, but I also need to have my ATV/plow ready when the snow falls. I mounted this on my motorcycle for ease of attaching a float charger. I really appreciated the heavier 16 gauge wiring, the quality of the connectors and the fuse holder. It includes a 10 amp fuse. You could put a larger or smaller fuse in it, but 10 amp is what 16 gauge wiring is designed to handle.
I'll probably purchase more of these to put on various toys that aren't run every day. They really make charging more convenient and reliable than alligator clips.

The original equipped battery charger cable (male end) snapped off on my wife's slingshot, so I purchased this Sparking 2 charger cord with inline fuse and it worked perfectly, I like the brass ring terminals and the terminal hole size, plus 2ft in length is perfect to tuck under the frame when not in use. Highly recommend this kit especially for the Polaris Slingshot.

The fuse blew the first time I connected a trip cam. I used the fuse form the second unit and everything worked just fine, even riding my motorcycle through rain. I am guessing a bad / weak fuse and plan to carry spares. After all, they are meant to blow if you have a short.

connector is OK, but cap's retainer is not

Connector works and seems fine, but cap is attached to the cord with quite brittle plastic. Around 1C degrees it becomes stiff and brittle, when I removed the cap the retainer broke.

these battery tender hook ups appear to be of good quality and there is a fuse in the positive line...they were too long for my motorcycle application so i made them shorter...i will not have to take the seat off to charge my battery again...i would recommend these...i am going to purchase another set for my other motorcycles
