For long sessions of reading text, this display is just OK. I wish I had spent the extra $200 or so for the Dell with comparable specs. You really notice the clarity and contrast around black text on a white background. Some people aren’t bothered by this, and I’m kind of getting used to it. When I switch back to the Dell I have access to, it’s much more relaxing to read a bunch of text. I was hoping that for a “business” monitor that the text performance would be better.

I fired up a couple games and was also just completely floored how gorgeous and immersive everything looks.
Here's a few random thoughts:
+Displayport and USB-C inputs mean both my work laptop and my gaming desktop can be hooked up at the same time and take advantage of the 100hz refresh rate (FYI you may have to manually increase the refresh rate in Advanced Display Options).
+Tested out picture-in-picture today and I'm sure it will come in handy. (Note: Your computer may see the PIP setup as a new screen so you'll have to update position, etc. Also PIP seems to lock the screen to 50hz.)
+The default eco mode settings are great for office work, but it's quick to change to the Cinema profile for watching a movie (tested out with Blade Runner 2049, looked gorgeous) or the gaming profile.
+Controlling all the settings with the control stick is pretty intuitive. After a day I'm able to zip around the options to experiment with some different settings.
+I was a little worried about the lack of reviews, but mine has really clean, even picture, with crisp text.
+Box was packed well, and makes assembly of the stand super easy. Leave the monitor panel in there while you assemble the stand and then you can snap it in with the monitor still in the box. The instructions show this but it's easy to miss. You'll need a coin or screwdriver for 2 screws on the base.
Overall no real negatives so far (50hz picture-by-picture and picture-in-picture mode is a slight bummer, but it's a feature I'll only use occasionally). Will update the review if anything changes with more use.

- USB C DP for Macbook Pro '16 charging. it is 60W, but is more than enough for me as long as I am not playing with it. Currently main MBP charging brick is somewhere in box and one USB C cable is used for charging and video (unless I set up as split screen, then HDMI is also connected)
- PBP aka split screen to support two sources: I use it to split my screen as if there were two monitors connected, so I can split it in Mac anywhere between 1-4 ways (USB C & HDMI). Sometimes one side connect to Mac, another to PC (DisplayPort). Amazing
- Freesync: not useful for me, as my PC runs on Nvidia GTX, but maybe futureproof?
- Ultra wide
- Curved
- Great picture quality. As I am comparing to Retina, it is very close to it.
- 100hz refresh rate
- Eye saving mode - great feature for working late nights to not hurt eyes that much - basically makes screen slightly foggy and yellowish (reduce blue). Works same as iPhone's Night Shift, just not automatic
- Auto detects new video source (enables in settings), just wish it would work for PBP too
- Easy to use and navigate push button behind screen
I am using it for work (Mac) and gaming (PC). Especially happy as work monitor
Disadvantages
- Is not Gsync compatible. Especially it is problem when over 100 fps. I just use vsync, glad that some games support 100hz vsync
- Sometimes I see lines running down from top down, but quick monitor off/on seem to fix it. That's why 4 stars instead of 5
At this price point, You just can't beat it with all the features this monitor has. Anything similar goes way over 1000
