The book starts with simple knit scarves and moves to some more complicated stitches. Every new stitch is fully illustrated with photos in color. And, the explanations are not at the end of the book. They are right after the scarf directions. Just turn the page and see how the new stitch is made.
The yarns are listed by weight, amount necessary, brand, and color. The listed yarns are wonderful but not necessary. You can substitute any yarn you want as long as it is a similar weight. I imagine she listed the exact yarns so that she would not be inundated with emails and phone calls because the yarns are fabulous.
If you want a great book on scarves that are elegant and easy, this is the book for you. If you are a beginner, this is the best book you'll find on the market.
