Tigers, one of the most endangered animals in the world, are the largest of all living cats. They live in forests, grasslands, and swamps where they hunt alone for animals such as deer, wild pigs, and buffalo. (They also eat smaller creatures like fish and birds or even other large predators like leopards.) They've been known to eat up to eighty pounds of meat in a single feeding! Tigers can travel for long distances and can leap as much as thirty feet in a single bound. They live alone and only come together to mate; females give birth to two or three babies at a time. Today only six remaining subspecies of tiger remain -- the Bengal, Indochinese, Malayan, Siberian, South China, and Sumatran.
Schleich 14729 - Tiger
The Siberian tiger is the largest big cat in the world and can grow up to three metres long from its nose to the tip of its tail.
The tiger's stripes are as varied and unique as fingerprints. Even the skin underneath is striped. At first glance, the striking pattern hardly seems to be beneficial. After all, the tiger does not want to be discovered by its prey immediately. When the tiger goes hunting in the twilight, it is however perfectly camouflaged with the stripes. They appear as tall grass moving in the wind or like fleeting shadows. Unlike many other 'cats' and big cats the tiger swims well and likes it, too. Therefore, the water is not a safe place for many prey animals.
Tigers purr, just like domestic cats – but 100 times louder.

Anyway, beautiful coloration/paint job/fur texture. This is the same tiger as the Schleich White Tiger except, of course, painted in orange/black/white colors. Looks like this critter is a bit "well fed" for the belly is a bit droopy!! The eyes are painted so that they even glisten when the light shines onto them. Awesome toy.
Ordered via Amazon and arrived well before the promised date and no damage. Was even set in a plastic container for added protection against damage.
