este producto no me gusto porque no logro cargar una bateria de auto y sin embargo me marcaba que la habia cargado .. lo puse a cargar una bateria de motoneta y esta si la logro cargar es el unico inconveniente que tuve, hasta pense en devolverlo,. y no esque la bateria del auto halla estado en mal estado ya que despues la carge con el alternador y esta si logro cargarse al 100%

I used this battery charger on my 2016 Ford Mustang that sat in the garage for over 5 months without starting. Needless to say the battery was completely drained. I was prepared to purchase a new battery because all mechanics state that no battery is useful after such long neglect. However, I decided to order this charger for my new battery so that I would not get into this situation again. When it arrived, I unboxed and connected it to old battery just to review the directions/procedures. As indicated on the charger my battery had no life so I decided to leave attached until I picked up the new battery. To my surprise the next morning, my old battery was charged and started with no issues. Now several months after this initial charge i am experiencing no problems with my battery despite the fact the car is driven infrequently. This battery charger is a keeper.

Shumacher came recommended to me by a friend who is an expert mechanic. He restores high-end muscle cars from 60s and 70s. Schumacher went the extra mile with this charger. It has great trickle charge, starter capability, and the ability to load test the battery. Everything I needed. Very safe and actually intelligent.

Fragile selector button design and Horrible display indicators

While I believe the charging and internal electronic smarts of this are likely very good, and so far that is my experience. The overall displays of what type of STD vs AGM selection is actually in use as well as if you are in the low or medium Amp setting vice the 85AMP starting assist selection is horrible. The little tiny display lights next to each of those is just over 1/8" in size, and the brightness of the light is faint, too faint to see if using this outdoors (even if in the shade of a structure or tree). Also the selector button is all too loose and wiggly, why that is I cannot imagine, but it seems to be the intended design. The Craftsman (likely built by Schumacher) I had for 20+ years (got accidently run over by a neighbor) had very positive rotary switches for type of batter and for levels of Amps desired, and it had bright LEDs to show you if you have hooked up the battery clips backwards, or if you need to check your alternator. It was rugged and foolproof... well until I loaned it to a sufficient enough fool to run over it. Do not buy this charger, look for one with better selector controls and status lights that you can actually SEE.

Works for a few hours then goes into failure mode. Customer svc poor - long, long wait times; 40 minutes on one occasion then you get a tech rep who has to look everything up on his computerized manual. Very, very disappointed.
