Seventh Generation pantiliners and pads are more than absorbent enough, have absolutely no itching, and the regular use of the pantiliners has cut my yeast infection frequency down to a quarter of previous levels.
Even the cloth-user in the family has started using them here and there, and reports the same!
Thank you, Seventh Generation, from the bottom of my... uh... heart! <3
The with is also pretty narrow so the wings do not totally reach around the crotch part of the underwear to hold it securely. I wear a size 12 underwear so I realize they are bigger than most, but still could be better.
In desperation, I started reading reviews on these pads and was somewhat impressed, but mostly intrigued. Before shelling out the cash for a mega stash, though, I went to our local health food store and purchased a pack. I fell instantly in love! The cotton is so wonderfully thin and soft that it's hard to tell you're wearing any protection at all. Even so, I never had even one tiny spot of leakage, including throughout the night. And my periods are heavy enough to give me moderate anemia every month.
I did not find that I needed to change them any more often than conventional brands. Because of my flow, I wear the overnight ultrathins throughout my cycle, but I really think a regular sized pad of these would be sufficient after the third day. I did not find them to be overly sticky, nor were the wings hard for me to deal with. They stay in place well, but they come off easily when they need to. The only real drawback is that they can feel a bit wetter than conventional pads against your skin at times...but I only had that a couple of times on my first and second days when the flow was the heaviest. Otherwise, I found them to be superior to anything I've ever used before.
I also love that they are totally comparable in price to the other brands, so I don't have to feel guilty for having sensitive skin. If you're even the least bit interested in trying these pads, go ahead and go for it! Just do like I did and buy a pack local first so you don't have to worry about wasted money if you happen to not like them....but I'm almost positive you will!
