My wife bought a bottle of Seventh Generation liquid soap for me in a local grocery store. After trying it I found that even though it does have a scent, it is a very mild one. It is pleasant to use, lathers very well using only a single squirt and is gentle on my skin, which, of course, is sensitive too. Unfortunately, the local store only had a few bottles in stock and not every week.
When I saw it on Amazon, I immediately ordered 2 - 12 Oz. packs of 8 bottles. I hope they continue to make this soap for a long, long time, so we don't have to spend another year and another small fortune trying to find another liquid hand soap I can use without gagging (and whining about.) Your probably glad your not married to me by this point.
I highly recommend Seventh Generation Hand Wash liquid soap to anyone, especially those of you that are scent sensitive and / or have sensitive skin.
I was not paid, or given anything free products for this review and I cannot be held responsible for the bad humor used in it, it's just a character flaw.
Also, I have discovered that you can in fact buy large refill jugs through a supplier which sells to colleges.
When Ivory discontinued its hand soap, I was distraught. I feared I would never again find a decent scent-free hand soap. Seventh Generation to the rescue! Research led me to it, and I'm so glad it did. If I had known about this product, I would have switched from Ivory years ago. This product rinses off more easily than Ivory did. When I'm done washing my hands, I don't want to feel like I still have soap on my hands! And I certainly don't want some fake fruity smell to follow me around.
Free of all scents. Nice basic clean hand soap. Gluten free.
Note that it is especially useful for diabetics. When you wash your hands before doing blood sugar, you want to make sure there is no residue of anything on your hands to interfere with your blood sugar reading. This hand soap fits the bill.
Consistent quality. I have ordered this item many times.
Disadvantages: You can not buy a refill jug. Sometimes the tops won't "pop" easily. We discovered that if you turn the top one way, then the other, then back the original way, then they will pop up after all. If they absolutely won't pop, well, we just put the "old" top into the "new" bottle of soap. Still, this does seem like a bit of a design flaw. But the soap is so awesome that it gets 5 stars anyway.
