The first Oh She Glows cookbook and blog helped me so much when I first became vegan over seven years ago, and Angela's recipes are ones that I return to again and again. I have all three of her cookbooks, and I think this new one will quickly become one of my favorite cookbooks.
Although this new book focuses on dinner recipes, it is broken up into several main sections/chapters:
* Go-To Mains
* Satisfying Sides and Small Bites
* Meal-Worthy Salads
* Hearty Soups and Stews
* Treats and Drinks
* Sauces, Dressings, Spices, and More
I've included some photos of the recipe breakdown in each section so you can see what sorts of recipes are included. There are also small sections on meal planning and prep, sample menus, and general cooking tips.
Since the book just arrived, I've only made two recipes (the Humble Creamy Mushrooms and Toast and the Mega Crunch Sun-Dried Tomato-Pepita Salad, and both turned out to be delicious. As with all the OSG recipes I've made over the years, they came together quickly, and the flavors were really satisfying.
The recipes rely on whole foods (not processed ingredients), and each one includes the number of servings, the active prep time, and the total time. Most of the recipes also include a color photo, which I love since having photos inspires me to make recipes from cookbooks.
My only disappointment -- and it's a minor one, not worth marking the book down -- is that the soups section doesn't include instructions on how to make them in the Instant Pot. Since Angela has some IP recipes on the OSG website and there are a few IP recipes in this book, I was hoping there would be suggestions for how long to cook these in the IP. Like I said, it's a small thing and I know that the book isn't meant to be an IP cookbook.
This OSG cookbook is more expensive than her previous ones, but it's hardback and full of gorgeous photos. The paper has a rich texture to it, and elevates this cookbook above others. It's more like a coffee table book than a cookbook.
Bon appetit!

Product description
Review
Angela's newest cookbook might just be my favorite yet. Not only did she ingeniously think to include fun menus, but each and every recipe is also full of time-saving tips for a busy lifestyle. And of course, each recipe is colorful, healthy and delicious. I can't wait to cook from the book weekly. It's going to be a staple in my kitchen.
-Tieghan Gerard, New York Times bestselling author of Half Baked Harvest Super Simple "Oh She Glows for Dinner proves just how simple, delicious, and joyful eating a plant-based diet can be. Filled with Angela's vibrant recipes and thoughtful tips, it will make you excited to cook dinner, even when life gets busy."
--Jeanine Donofrio, author of Love and Lemons Every Day "Earlier last year I completely removed eating meat from my diet. I had the hardest time finding food that kept me full because of the lack of protein. Angela's recipes in Oh She Glows have so much flavor and are the perfect plant-based options! Sometimes cooking for a family of five can get exhausting, and these recipes are quick and easy and my entire family loves them! Our favorite is the Glow Green 30-Minute Pesto Pasta!"
--Molly Sims, bestselling author of The Everyday Supermodel and Everyday Chic "I have been such a big fan of Angela's cookbooks, which are filled with recipes that are extremely family-friendly, plant-based, and nutritious. I am so excited about Angela's new cookbook, Oh She Glows for Dinner. I love that she's integrated meal plans into this book, as I am always looking for help and suggestions for dinner. If you have kids, you know that dinnertime sneaks up on you fast! This book is so beautiful, and I can't wait to cook some of these drool-worthy recipes for my family."
--Jillian Harris, bestselling coauthor of Fraiche Food, Full Hearts "Oh my goodness, the recipes and information in this cookbook are exactly what I constantly hear people asking for: weeknight dinner ideas and meal plan/prep guides. The theme couldn't be more perfect for this day and age. Angela has absolutely nailed it. . . . again! I literally salivated reading the index: Cheesy Lentil Bolognese Casserole, Dreamy Peanut Butter Crunch Veggie Noodle Bowls, and Ultimate Creamy Salt-and-Vinegar Scalloped Potatoes. Calling it now--this book will become a classic."
--Erin Ireland, founder of ItsToDieFor.ca and It's to Die For Fine Foods A few years ago, I was eating fish, poultry, cheese, dairy, and...well, you get where I'm coming from. And then it happened: I found Angela from Oh She Glows and she has been inspiring me to eat better, eat healthier, and have fun. What I love most about her new cookbook is that it's loaded with fun and FLAVOR. So many recipes are great for families--or, in my case, single people--and my plant-based 'cooking chops' just rose to a whole new level thanks to this beautiful recipe book.
--Jann Arden, singer/songwriter, actor, and bestselling author of Feeding My Mother "Years ago, when I began to discover I had some major food intolerances, the first cookbook I picked up was Oh She Glows, before I even knew what 'nutritional yeast' was. I loved the simplicity of the OSG recipes, which felt easy to follow along with and adapt as needed (like gluten-free!). A cookbook like Angela's helped me feel like my new dietary needs were not restricting but rather opening up new doors to delicious food I could make at home. With this book, I'm excited to have some new ideas, themed nights, and colorful dishes that serve up so much more than just a meal. Well done, Angela, Oh She Glows has done it again!
--Sarah Nicole Landry, creator of TheBirdsPapaya.com Vegan home cooks and those looking to add more plant-based meals to their repertoire will delight in these immensely appetizing recipes.

Packed with simple, delicious and easy to prepare dishes

Though I own a wealth of vegetarian and vegan cookbooks; I have found myself in a bit of a rut the last few months largely due to the fact that many of the books I own are just too complicated; involve too many random ingredients or just take too long! But owning other books by Angela Liddon, I was excited to receive this and get inspired again!
This is a beautiful book ( capable of being a coffee table book) and a large book that is absolutely packed with recipes, meal plans , menus for entertaining, tips and tricks but most of all, it’s unique and steers clear of most of the rub on the mill recipes we have seen many, many times!
It is divided into six main recipe chapters outside of smaller Sub chapters such as tips, pantry staples and preparation. The six chapters are : Mains, Sides and small bites; Salads; Soups and Stews; Treats and Drinks and Sauces , dressings.
The recipes are mostly simple , the ingredients are normal and easy to find in any store and certainly inspiring. For this reason, this will be my new go to! Recipe after recipe, I found dishes I could not wait to make! And plenty of warning dishes that use seasonal vegetables easily found in the Fall!
The book is a little minimal when it comes to photos but makes up for it in volume of recipes. I cannot wait to work my way through it and began in a simple manner with the Carrot and Dill Hummus - quick, easy and tasty and the Cayenne Roasted Chickpea and Sweet potato salad which was filling and delicious and not had to make!
This is my favorite vegan cookbook in quite some time

Same old stuff, not very exciting

I am a big fan of OSG but was slightly disappointed in this cookbook. Several of the recipes are on her website and ap (Cheesy lentil bolognese, bread free stuffing balls, chia seed jam, pantry dal, crispy smashed potatoes, instant pot cauliflower Thai curry). She also has a lot of mushroom and potato recipes that seemed slightly boring. No one can deny that she is an excellent cook, but her last two cookbooks have been a disappointment. Will be returning as this latest cookbook does not have any new ideas like I was hoping for. Too bad!

This is a beautiful cookbook and the photos are beautiful. I was a bit disappointed as I have two of her other cookbooks and her app and several of the recipes are repeats. I had hoped to have all new recipes for the $35 price. I was worried about a hard back cookbook and how the pages would lay when the book is open. The book has a unique binding so that shouldn't be a problem. Angela's recipes never disappoint. Who knew eating healthy could taste so good?!
Bon Appétit.

I love Angela’s third book. Previous to this her first book was my favorite. I love the layout, the photos and the way the recipes are written. They are as close to standardized recipe form as I have seen in a while. I believe all recipes should be written in standardized recipe form. The pictures are beautiful. I have made the MaMa Bears Oats and they were delicious. Next will be the protein packed mashed potatoes and the Oh Canada! Maple Torte topped with gooey apples. The only thing that would make this book better is if there were nutritional counts and if the recipes were written in true standardized form. Also if you avoid oils and fats as in the WFPB no oil lifestyle this might not be for you. I think these recipes will be perfect for entertaining my carnivore friends and family.
