I bought my son a VR for Christmas and got this to go with it. It looks okay. Was easy to set up.
Unlike other reviews it does seem to charge the motion controllers, but they also fall over incredibly easily.
The directions do say the lights on the side are optional, but no indication on how to turn them on/off.
It works for now, but I will be searching for something better.
Update (February 11,2020)
Not even 2 months after Christmas it stopped charging the move controllers altogether, where as before it was a slow charge. I took everything off and took the stand out to investigate why. The usb port inside the stand came off and is stuck on the cable. No wonder so many complain it doesn't charge.

Junk. Bought in Jan and it finally died completely today after unplugging to re locate. I attached pictures of the cheap board and cheap USB type b connection. The lights started acting funny going on and off around day 2...but if you didn't touch or move it would stay lit and charge. This is one of my worst purchases made yet lol. It did charge fine when it worked. But also the ps VR box did not fit either. Mine was too big. So all I used this for was charging the remotes.
