Click the spray button a second time, switch to the intermittent spray mode (spray 3 seconds to stop for 2 seconds), click the spray button for the third time, turn off the spray. The duration of the spray can last up to 12 hours and the intermittent spray can last up to 18 hours.

I use this for my plants that need more humidity. It works for that purpose. I don't think it would bring up the humidity in an entire room. The mist goes up about 13/14 inches and then stops back down. It does not, however, make the wood it's standing on wet so that's a plus. My humidity normally measures about 49% give it take. Measuring about 12" from the humidifier shows between 65/75 so it does truly work for my purpose.
