NOT as described/pictured! I’m pretty angry that the bodysuits I got are NOT LAP SHOULDER. They are just plain straps. I would have sent them back but my daughter needed one to wear under a dress for a party and there was no time to return them for something different.
I got some sleeveless, lap shoulder bodysuits from Carter’s in the 12 month size but my 14 month old is already growing out of them so i thought i’d try these in 18 month. Based on the picture and description I thought they would be basically the same as the Carter’s ones. They are not.
For the fact that they are NOT what was pictured or described, I give them 1 star. However, if I had intended to order non-lap shoulder bodysuits I would give them 3 starts for fit, quality and maybe 4 for overall for value (they’re cheap and not completely terrible).
So, here is my review for what I got (which is not what I was sold):
For what they are — and for under $10 — they’re ok. Not great, but ok. The material is a little thicker than similar bodysuits I’ve purchased from Carter’s or Gerber but not necessarily nicer. Somehow it just feels more bulky, not more durable. The straps are a bit too wide and not as nicely contoured around the armpits as i’d like. The head hole is a tiny bit too tight for my daughter’s liking (which is why I wanted lap shoulder). My kiddo’s head is in the 54th percentile (for a 14 month old — and I got 18mo size) so pretty much right up the middle. There just isn’t much stretch to the neck of these shirts, unfortunately.
They ribbing of the fabric doesn’t bounce back into shape very well after they’re stretched. If you tug on it to adjust the leg holes (or whatever) they just kinda stay stretched out until you wash it again.
Overall disappointing but I suppose still a good value, especially if you had no expectations for something better.
Personally, I think it’s worth it to put out the few extra dollars to buy from Carter’s.

Soft and cozy

Bought these for my female dogs with skin allergies so they are unable lick off their ointment. A little snip in the but for my shih tzu, and my schnauzer is able to wear it without a hole for her nub tail. So soft and true to size, great amount of room in the arms for movement too this is a plus. Sorry for those of you looking for a review while shopping for your child, what I can say as a person who buys 18 month to 2T, these onsies are a great fit and well made.

Too Wide

I received the onsies and they felt like they were of good quality. As soon as I put them on my son I gasped. The onsies are very wide on the shoulders. The snap buttons were uneven and the bottom of the onsies were extremely wide. My child is 27months and of average height and weight. When I put pants on over the onsie, they would scrunch up on the sides. I really needed the onsies because I was travelling the next day but if that weren't the case, I would have returned them immediately. I should have just reordered the Carters brand.

Watch out for sizing!

I like Spasilk onesies because they feel so soft. However, you have to keep in mind that their onesies run short and wide. So instead of following how old your little one is for a size, follow their size chart and go by how much they weigh. My son is 3 months old, he will not fit on their 3 month old onesies. He wears the 6 month old and that size fits perfectly on him. This time, I bought the sleeveless one in size 9 months. It came in the mail today, I washed it right away so he can wear it and it's perfect! It's not too tight or too short. It's a little loose which I like because they grow up so fast! Overall, I am happy with my purchase and will definitely buy again!

Shrunk multiple sizes after washing

These would have been perfect except they shrunk multiple sizes after washing in cold water and drying on ultra low. Bought a size 9m and it fits now more like 3-6m. Waste of money ad I bought them for this summer.
