The phone fell off the truck and bounced to the opposite side of the road and was lying face down. This case showed scuffing on all four corners and held up great. Anyone who owns a S7 knows theses phones are covered in glass, not one chip or crack to the phone, still looks brand new. I am a believer in this case now.
Fit - Both fit well, but the Spigen fit a little better. The Jetech edges around the middle of the screen were a little loose. The buttons on both were solid.
Feel / Texture - Both are a hard smooth rubber TPU material. This is the only place I liked the Jetech more, it was a more grippy rubber which I like. The sides also have more to grip with them.
Ports - Both have them lined up correctly. The Spigen AUX port is bigger though.
Size - Both are quite slim, just right.
The Spigen has more material to it, more of a spine if you will. The Jetech is quite flimsy and feels cheaper (it's $7).
The Spigen says it's military drop tested, which cannot be said for the Jetech.
I'm giving the Spigen 4 stars because it's sort of slippery holding it. Putting a sticker on the back helped.
I'll also be giving the Jetech 4 stars because it's still a good case for as cheap as it is.
I ended up returning the Jetech, with such a minimal price difference the Spigen was the obvious choice.
I bought this case primarily so that I can hang onto my expensive phone without it squirting out of my grip and onto the sidewalk. The case is tactile and it will protect your phone (front and back) when you sit it on your desk. It isn't designed to survive a nuclear attack or being run over by a truck but if all you want is a decent cover for your phone then this fits that role.
Fortunately the cracks in the glass rear shell do not affect camera but are in bottom area of cover. I'm putting a layer of clear packing tape over damaged area of phone and have ordered an Otterbox Commuter cover. I don't care if it's bulkier than the Spygen. If this one is not protective enough I'll return it and get the Otterbox Defender.
Boo to Samsung for making an all glass phone. Who knew? It's way too fragile. One drop and it's cracked, maybe a throw away if front glass or camera area of rear shell breaks. Beware!
Update: I did get the Otterbox Commuter case and it is thicker. more intrusive, and seems much more protective. it's grippy and fits well. not as sleek as minimalist Spygen of course.
I can not overemphasize how fragile is the glass front AND back of the Galaxy 7. Full replacement insurance if available is a very great idea! And what is the wisdom of making a sleek glass jewel box, glass front and back phone when you have to submerge it in a thick, edge and corner protective case? It's nuts.
