I have been using this product for years. Washed my face and noticed something was different. I compared the ingredients to the old formula (thank goodness I had an empty tube that I hadn't yet thrown away).
The concentration of the ingredients are different from the previous formula. Also the new formula now has benzyl alcohol. This is probably why it smells so strong and is irritating to my lungs. I also experience eye pain and headache after using this new formula.

"Benzyl alcohol is severely toxic and highly irritating to the eye. Pure benzyl alcohol produces corneal necrosis". Research based.

Ruined my Neck Skin

This scrub has burned and ruined my neck skin. I only used it twice in the shower on my neck as suggested by a woman on internet who had hardly any wrinkles. She's in her 70’s and said her secret to her smooth neck skin and beautiful decolletage was a daily cleans with this product. I tried it, twice. After the second use I broke out in a rash on the right side of my neck. Two days later it calmed down, but a bright red burn mark running along the whole fold line on my right side appeared. It has been almost 3 months now. It burns, itches constantly, has tiny bumps and it's deep red. I've tried everything from ice packs, cortisone cream, cucumber cooling gel, Arnica gel, mederma and actual aloe vera plant. Nothing helps. It seems to be getting bumpier, scalier and darker. I used to get compliments on my skin. I hope after Halloween my neck will start to heal, no longer thinking it's needed for some horrific costume prop.

4 bottles! Wow! This'll last me forever! Guys - if you don't do this already you should - scrub your face with this stuff before you shave. It will cut down on the razor bumps you get big time! This is a staple in my routine and it should be in yours, too! Smells amazing, way better than that cheaper version CVS or Walgreens makes. Scrubs nicer too. Smoother. I love it!

I’ve used this product for many years. Over time, I tried comparable products from other brands, including higher end/more expensive products. This brand has absolutely the best texture/grain. There is a large concentration of grains, so you can get a great exfoliation, but the texture is fine enough that it doesn’t feel clumpy or dry. I use this for face and body. Definitely use it on wet skin only! This product does not irritate my sensitive skin.

I only use about 3-4 things as part of my daily routine and this product is one of them. I do have very sensitive skin particularly due to ingredients though not so much the texture. This product saved my face when I went through bad breakouts in my teenage years. Now I can't live without it.

I have combination skin and I use this daily in the shower on my face and back. It's not the most gentle scrub out there so light touch is recommended. It smells great, my face feels clean after I use it. I would really recommend using your favorite moisturizer afterwards because the scrub by itself won't hydrate enough. That should be a given.
Definitely helps with acne. It evens out your skintone too so the overall redness you might have will be less prominent. BUT DEFINITELY MOISTURIZE!!! If you don't, your skin will become dry, it will try to overcompensate by producing more oil, clogging your pores... you know the drill. Would recommend in your acne fighting regimen!

This scrub is great. I only have to use this 3 times a week (every 2 days), along with an acne toner, and it keeps the acne at bay, especially the blackheads. I usually scrub this on my face for about a minute, and it leaves my face soft and evens out my skin tone. I would definitely recommend, especially if you want to get a good deep cleaning.

Another great thing about this scrub, at least for me, is that I only use this and my acne toner. I don’t have to use another acne cleanser on the days that I don’t use this scrub, just my toner.

Definitely would recommend, though if you have sensitive skin, it might be too rough for you
