The device seems well built and looks pretty good. The included screws for the M2 could have been mounted onto the board to save us the trouble, since they are very small and rather difficult to align and secure properly. Configuration was simple for me. I installed a pair of 256GB Micron M600 M.2 SATA SSDs, set the the jumpers to RAID 0, plugged in the SATA cables and booted up my PC. Opened Disk Management and was immediately prompted to initialize the new volume. I went with GPT mode and was able to format the new volume without any trouble. I wasn't trying to use this as a boot volume (MBR mode) and my drives had never been initialized before, so your mileage may vary. Now to the important part: performance. To be fair, I haven't had an opportunity to use this thing in any real world scenarios, but you can check out my CrystalDiskMark results, side by side with a benchmark of a single 256GB Micron M600 – as you can see, they're not so different... Slightly higher write speeds, but nowhere near the speeds you'd expect from RAID 0! I also noticed that the case feels considerably warm to the touch, even after the drive has been sitting idle for a while, and I'm wondering if this might end up causing problems over time... So, is it worth it? I haven't decided yet. I already had these M.2 SATA drives just laying around collecting dust, so I might end up keeping it, but if you're planning to buy new SSDs to use with this device, I would advise against it.
